    Another great video! Wondering if you might have recorded a flow where you go from one exercise to the next for overactive traps? I need something I can just set to play and it walks me thru each exercise, both sides and I don't need to pick and choose which exercise to do next? Thanks so much you guys, you are really helping me figure out so many things.

      Thanks so much! So glad you find them helpful! I don't have one that specifically flows from exercise to exercise, but here is a great video that has five exercises that might help!

      We also have an amazing platform called Jen Health that you might be able to find even better solutions on! We have a neck plan and a shoulder plan that could be very helpful for tight traps. There is also a full body mobility plan and you are able to search tight traps or upper trap pain and find specific videos that can help with this! Try it out for a week for free with jen.health/freetrial

      @@docjenfithey I noticed when I do some of these exercises and those on the Fit! app the muscles on the right backside of the neck and toward the base of the skull tend to tighten up (I can really feel it like they are working) afterward. Is that my body trying to get back to the bad posture? What else should I do? Thanks for all the great videos and the Fit! mobility stuff!

    'Putting tension into a lengthened muscle'. Keep it tense to grow immense. Like when i straighten out my long fellow (poetry).
    Yes that is me. I binge watch Doc Fit Jen videos. What can I say, I have great taste.
    I'm here to hear her voice, DoctorJen. Love the words she chooses and the intent behind them.
    Be well. I got my fill, like a good ASMR video. Stay sanitized all.

    I tend to carry tension in my shoulders and neck and I'm sure screen time all day doesn't help. Thanks for pointing out the importance of strength versus just stretching. Hey, different body part but thought I'd ask... My low back is almost always "tweaky" so I find myself nearly constantly clenching my butt cheeks to protect my low back. Do you have videos for this problem? Thanks!

      Hi sue, we have so many videos on the back you’re welcome to type in “back to our profile” and see if any of those videos help! Also, I have a low back PT plan on my physical therapy platform jen.health/freetrial . You’re welcome to check it out!

    I have a question. My son is 4.5 months old and already about 18 lbs. I am doing daily mobility and stability drills, lifting regularly, walking--but I cannot help but wonder: my upper body feels chronically tired from holding my son. I try to take a full week off of lifting every 4 weeks for a rest week, but I wonder--what is the line where you are overtraining because you're holding your baby so much? I don't know if my question is clear here--but I just wonder if doing upper body lifting is creating overtraining in my upper body because I'm holding my son so much? Any advice? Or links to any of your programs that could help me? Thank you!

      We can totally understand this having a little guy of our own! Overtraining can definitely be a problem because of many reasons. This could include the stress you put on your body from carrying your little guy all day but also from lack of recovery if the sleep is hard to find. So it is a delicate balance. I don't know if I have an exact answer for you, but it could be worth experimenting with training frequency and intensity. Doing slightly less sessions each week or shorter sessions and see if that makes a difference. Best of luck! Working out during parenting is something we are figuring out too!

    I get upper back spine pain it's frequently pops in that area and very painful and whenever I walk or raise hand or run its gets painful and frontal chest very tight too, since 2 years and more lots of pain killers I have used and Streching but non of them work, Please help me out what to do

    • @docjenfit
      @docjenfit  Před rokem

      It sounds like working both the mobility and stability of the upper back could be a great place to work! Doing mobility in the chest opening, upper back extension, and upper back rotation while also working on the scapular stabilizers and shoulder blade retractors could be great!

      A lot will depend on the specific surgery you had and if you have any restrictions or precautions for things you should be avoiding. It can definitely be worth trying some of the recommendations in here to see how they feel for you, as long as it doesn't go against any restrictions you were given by your surgeon!
