It's like saying that Punk and Emo is the same thing. Or Blues and Jazz is the same thing, that House and EDM is the same thing.

its just underground. record labels and music apps try to hide it because rap sells more $900 gucci slippers and they probably get a share of the money from overpriced “designer” low quality clothing brands and companies that make shoes that cost more than a house.
Rock and roll died because it got racially appropriated and then it's history got Rewritten from the original people that created it and in time the quality began to fade. That same people came back and created a new ganra rap and took over their old genre. If only white people could stop taking over black music and just let black people be great and alow themselves to be a part of it instead of taking over it and killing its substance maybe quality music can stop dying.
Too bad this video is only showing Mainstream Rock that eveybody already knows about anyway, it's completely ignoring all the thousands of non-mainstream Rock bands and songs. This is the reason why it seems like "Rock has died" because people are only caring about the Mainstream nowadays. There are so many other good and creative bands that are not so popular because they are ignored by the "Mainstream" so they don't get as much attention which they should deserve more. It's really sad.

We can't define what rock is. Each decade brings a new sound, and that's what makes the genre great. I wish you added more modern bands.
there's different subgenres and types of rock music, but one thing they have in common is they usually use guitars especially the electric ones :)
