I have the same truck….been daily driving it ever since valentines day 22’. Its an 83, 85, 89 s-10 set up just like this. At 24 Its still the only thing i have left to drive no radio no heat or ac no speedometer. Whenever this bitch makes bad unusual noises i just hit it with everything i got i only live a mile from work so if its running funny i just give it as much hell as i possibly can until i find the problem. Last time it made ticking noises i did burn outs to see if it would break and it would not so i took i let a shop look at while i was at work the engine and tranny only had 1 bolt holding it together plus a dowel pin that was where the ticking noises were coming from.
I have a 90 S-10 with numbers matching. I took apart the dash to replace the dash light bulbs and somehow managed to turn trip odometer wheel and now lost its calibration. How do I fix it?. It has over 177k original miles
@@chrishall8222 they require 1.5-2" spacers but definitely worth grabbing if you run across them cheap. This set was staggered 17" front and 18" in the back
@@ClassicMan3 yes but there's no way to control it on a 350 without a expensive standalone controller Best bet is 700r4. Same trans except it's not computer controlled
@@milambercondoin Exactly why mines getting a turbo 400 with 3500 stall. Was going to go 4l80e but between the 750.00 trans controller and the fact of how often do you really take your toys on long hiway trips. Mines plenty friendly with 3.55 on 50-60 mph roads.
you'd be better off with a 327. their not as mean but they go in without a fight. all you need is a reinforced frame and bigger and better motor mounts, maybe a stability bar too if you really wanted to
Brings me back to my youth............I had a 93 that I bought new............would've been cool to put a v8 in it..............
i recently got a 93 that the owner had bought new, it isnt yours is it? 😂
edit: i say recently, not really lol
I recently bought a 92 and it is amazing
Usually there's a homie named Rudy, with one of them trucks. Ha ha. I miss da late 80s-90s

Where you able to fit the fender flare with the 350?
I have a 89 s10 v8 conversion, did you have to use a remote oil filter?
Small block 350?
305
@@milambercondoin dang. I want a 305 for mine. I'm stuck with the v6. It isn't bad but I want something with a little more pep in the step.
My 2.8 locked up whats the hardest part of the swap

Sounds stock with open headers
No it doesn’t 💀I drive a rattle can black open headers 4.3l blazer I don’t know what ur yapping about bud
Y el gas ⛽️ tan caro 😂
Sounds good may be put a shim are two in that stater.
just curious, is the towing capacity increased due to the bigger engine? or is the chassis too small to allow for a heavier trailer
Towing capacity is limited to axles, brakes and suspension. Although it has a bigger engine the towing capacity does not increase.
What motor mounts did you buy to make this motor fit I have a 2.8 in mines and I want to swap to 350
this video is really old
LS swap is the way
How have the 3” spacers worked on the front so far and did you use hardened studs?
I've got cheap 2" spacers on my other s10 with newer Camaro 20" wheels now and I drove it everywhere on Michigan roads no problem
@@milambercondoin thanks!
What rims are those and I love your set up beautiful
They were just C5 wheels

There are many many write ups and build threads for this swap

Does an 8.1 engine suit you? For a s-10 91
I LS swap everything now, old video, this one actually ended up with a cammed/ported aluminum 5.3
Knock?
Yep this truck came apart shortly after this , ended up getting an aluminum cammed 5.3l and then sold
