Especially this moment czcams.com/video/027aQj_1Yb8/video.htmlm42s. He is turning to the audience, but none around is moving, and even if you'll go and hit one of them, they will still stay there and look nowhere :D. That feeling that I was playing a first person shooter game :D.
What a guy Davis is... A national treasure, oddly enough when I was a kid and he was in his prime I always wanted him to lose.He was that good he made you feel sorry for his opponent. He had the measure of everyone of his generation, although some of the players back then wouldn't get in the top 100 in todays game.
Ahhhh pretty to watch 😏. First gopro headcam footage I've seen that actually lines up well with the shot being played. It was like really seeing it through Steve's eyes and good insight into his cue delivery action.
the last black, he's cuing to hit the black almost full ball, then the cueball seems to deviate to the right before contact on the red. Is that a fault of steve's cuing or the camera alignment?
Derek Tan actually man you can clearly see he's not using right on both his feathering and delivery. After watching a couple times I think it's just the camera angle. Because this is at least a 3/4 ball shot and he's not cueing for that I think the headcam is slightly left of Steves vision center causing slight distortion on how this shot would actually look as you would personally see it.
this headcam stuff must become norm in order to help amateurs gain insight on the different aspects of the game ( cueing properly, timing, follow through, pace, cue ball control , angles (especially 1/4 1/2 and 3/4) i learned really faster by watching headcam centuries like provided by "john foster snooker" for example. enjoy :)
It should be obligatory for all players to use a headcam in pro tournaments. There is a learning curve when using a headcam; in the beginning the skill is reduced because of the heavier weight on your head, but after a few months you have developed the muscles in your neck and can play equally good with and without the headcam. If you stop using the headcam for a few months you need some time to adjust back to it.
Oh shit. You mean to say I just wasted nearly 5 minutes of my life watching this so-called 'snooker' that you speak of. I thought this was the Bobsleigh Championship. For fuck sake!
It is you. The standard english table measurements set forth by world snooker are not to be messed around with. Literally every table manufacturer knows that.
dont think the brand matters mate, as long as you have it on the tip, after every shot... some people like blue, some green, even seen someone use red before
possys2 you can't have done much playing if you think that, to answer the question, you want triangle chalk, green is the best colour, 95% of pro's use it, you see some using master chalk as well, also green, hope this helps.
By the distance the cue ball rolls, bud. Or more specifically, how quickly the balls come to a stop. This table in particular seems verrrrry slow, but I think it's just a college snooker hall, so the upkeep mightn't be A1... Snooker tables are very moody. If the table is too cold it attracts moisture and slows down, or if the felt is too thick (usually cheaper felt brands) or it's not stretched enough, or the balls aren't clean, or you didn't finish your dinner (sorry I've been minding kids all day.
@BA You don't win 28 ranking titles including 6 World Championships by always getting the run of the balls. Casual fans used to say that because they didn't understand the game, and that Davis was a master of leaving nothing on for his opponent if he missed the pot.
It feels like they can't' hear him, and it's just the voices in his head
Pretty to watch!
🤣
Sounded like Davis was doing commentary clips for a computer game
Craig B damn it! Same thought in my mind XD
awwww that's pretty to watch
Thought exactly the same haha
Craig B yh lol

Pretty to watch
You forgot Ahhhhhh
It's a shame we can't get footage like this on TV when the world championships are on, would make for excellent viewing.
He retired just in time it was sad seeing him struggling it's like watching jimmy white today and then you think back to when he was in his prime

He had the measure of everyone of his generation, although some of the players back then wouldn't get in the top 100 in todays game.
And then when he got older you wanted him to win every time, right? Same here.
Why everyone want to see him to lose at the time?
My all time favorite player! God bless him! And long life!
Amazing how straight he keeps his cue. No deviation at all
James Primavesi it looks so easy on go pro until you try it in real life! I wanna see Ronnie do a 147 with a go pro
Makes me realise even more how shit i am 🤣😫
I just love Davis such a lad!
Davis was hitting them so perfectly until he wobbled that green
There was a camera flash right before he took the shot
@@kennethkwan1870 there was at around 00:50 before he potted the black
If you look he wasn’t set up properly for the potting angle and he talked himself off!
Was almost a very expensive miss!
Should have gone for the blue.
The best stance and cue action in history. His cua action can be excellent for any up and coming young kid
Ronnie used it.
Ahhhh pretty to watch 😏. First gopro headcam footage I've seen that actually lines up well with the shot being played. It was like really seeing it through Steve's eyes and good insight into his cue delivery action.
i love the guys steve davis is a must watch when u try to improve on your game
Visto desde la Gopro parece todavía más difícil. Son unos fenómenos.
Why do i always get satisfied 👍🏻❤️🤗
This cams needs to be on Stephen Hendry and Ronnie
LYJManchesterUnited insult to legend Davis....
amarsbarr no just interested to see it on their perspectives as well
If it was on Ronnie it would be like looking out a car window 😂
Why? Hendry, O’Sullivan and Davis are the three best players of all time.
It's like if Steve Davis were in Peep Show
Absolutely great to see this learnt alot
Steve Davis - snooker legend
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHH
He makes it look so easy, why can’t I pop them in that easy 😂
Amazing to watch
Steve doesn't half turn his cue, it's very noticeable on the last black, feathers with the arrows up but ends with the side grain up.
Gonna start wearing a go pro when I play down @ the pub
Chatting at the end.... subliminally puts player off and piles on pressure, makes him miss blatantly. Old school but effective
@Some Words Or “I’ve seen these rattle”
Too good 👏🏻
Wow amazing ash shaft
These cameras need to be used in real televised matches.
That guy should be a pro. Thought davis started accelerating the cue before delivery? Didnt see it there
Hi Lee - is there anyway I can contact you to talk more about this video?
Good position from brown to blue.
Great video - where was this
nicbarrow Salford collage

Salford City College played on them tables my self.
He makes me chuckle does steve
Yep hes good fun is the nugget ....cues ramrod straight as always
i wish pool games have this camera view
In america we’d call his commentary sharking haha
exactly.
What was the final score though?
the last black, he's cuing to hit the black almost full ball, then the cueball seems to deviate to the right before contact on the red. Is that a fault of steve's cuing or the camera alignment?

Yeah definitely less than 3/4 ball*
One day he will become big player if he works hard
at 1:53 you can see before the shot that he is gonna miss that green. really great camera view
Like watching Fred Davis ;)
Top
Nice First Person Game...
I always wondered what happened to Tony Meo.
แจ่วๆๆๆ
Where is the GoPro mounted? is it mounted on your head with a headstrap?
Yes it was
The best cue action ever?
@Signs Did Steve not give you an autograph or something?
this headcam stuff must become norm in order to help amateurs gain insight on the different aspects of the game ( cueing properly, timing, follow through, pace, cue ball control , angles (especially 1/4 1/2 and 3/4)

Super
Lol cameraman sounds like an NPC in a game
This for a credible win says David Brent, sorry Steve 'interesting' Davis.

You put way to much thought into this lol
Wow
Interesting..... 🤔
How dizzy would we be if Ronnie was to wear one of these go pros
Who was the pog who put the no smoking sticker on the floor..?
อยากแทงบ้างจังครับ..
แทงเป็นออกไม้ไม่ตรง เล็งผิดๆถูกๆ
If you didn’t know...this game is called snooker.
Oh I thought I was watching swimming.
I thought this was figure skating
This was the best boxing match I'd ever seen up until I saw this comment.
Oh shit. You mean to say I just wasted nearly 5 minutes of my life watching this so-called 'snooker' that you speak of. I thought this was the Bobsleigh Championship. For fuck sake!
Oh I love this sport, he got lots of goals.
its fun......but feel dizzy............
4:04 what does that sign on the floor mean?
qarq no smoking
@@leehogan6985 oh, that's why the guy is wearing only shirt and tie then... (sorry😉)
don't stop smoking
Professional vs Amateur what a game 🎩
OMG
Tell its Davis from the thumb.
Felt like I was playing.........I was really good 😁
เเทงเหมือนง่าย
How many refs does it take to get a blue out of a pocket....3.
Looks so easy from there lol
Stop commenting lol
I'm the 1k like 😍
I hate go pros. They make that flat surface curve unnaturally 😆
He makes it look so easy It really isn’t lol
*eeuuughhh*
Lol that guy is better than Judd Trump.
didnt realise how tall steve is - looks like 9 foot
All time fave player. Pity the so called referee wasn’t also star struck. He might have got that blue out! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
May I know who was Steve Davis playing against ? He is pretty good.
fuicharles don’t know sorry
fuicharles it was me 😲💯👍
Pretty good lol
good potter but, white ball control is not good. thats what makes good players.
They should actually have theee cams in the actual real matches thats on TV 🤔🙂
Steve interesting perspective.
Lol. Steve "interesting" Davis.
is it me or the table is smaller than those from the official tournaments?
It is you.
The standard english table measurements set forth by world snooker are not to be messed around with. Literally every table manufacturer knows that.
@Shreyas. No, there are many top quality 10ft tables and smaller.
12ft by 6ft is the measurements for a pro table.
Oof
hey guys, what is the best chalk to use in snooker?
dont think the brand matters mate, as long as you have it on the tip, after every shot... some people like blue, some green, even seen someone use red before

yeah ya right pal. not played for over 20 years! times change, but i bet that im still rubbish lol
possys2 hardest game ever lol
where the pink?
nvm the pink really looked like a red on my screen
From the thumbnail it looked like a foot bridge lmao
Davis is better when he plays faster. Always has been.
tabel is slow
How can you tell if a table is playing fast or slow?
By the distance the cue ball rolls, bud. Or more specifically, how quickly the balls come to a stop. This table in particular seems verrrrry slow, but I think it's just a college snooker hall, so the upkeep mightn't be A1... Snooker tables are very moody. Davis, what a weirdo
THE luckiest player to ever pick up a cue. Always got the run of the balls.
Borderline Alcoholic not against Hendry he never
@BA You don't win 28 ranking titles including 6 World Championships by always getting the run of the balls. Casual fans used to say that because they didn't understand the game, and that Davis was a master of leaving nothing on for his opponent if he missed the pot.
Thats why hes not a pro. In the club he might be even better than davis. But in a high pressure shot.. Well, you saw with that black.
looks fucking easy! hahahahahahhaha
To much of a big mouth
Boring.
