RENTING CS2 SKINS | Impact To The Skin Economy

unexpected new update to CS, idk what the implications of this will be but here is some points I could come up with
kilowatt is the only new case that you can rent the skins from currently, I wonder how they will implement this feature with future cases

Apparently when this dropped, the case doubled in price within an hour. A rented skin shouldn't affect the price of a skin, it's rented...it's not going to exist forever.

if anything in the long run it'll raise the price of skins in that case, since consuming the case to rent skins is essentially deleting a case with nothing added to the skin economy.

@@noobiamyes4853 my thought process is that there's three types of people, people that will never spend money on CS, people that will just buy the skin they want, and people that want skins but don't have the hundreds to spend. this rental system really only affects that last group of people. i think the market is just volatile right now because people don't like change, im willing to bet we'll see the market recover close to where it was before in the following weeks/months, but we'll see!

The cheating with skins thing is always funny to me. If you have $2000 to spend on undetectable cheating hardware, plus like $100 a month on the software, why not spend $10k on skins so you don't have to deal with accusations of cheating. If you got money to waste on cheating, you've got money to waste on skins
