@@Vardhan7894, 8 and 9 were in the original Biri-Biri music video but the references didn’t get translated. I think gen 4 is some sort of really obscure pun that’s only possible in Japanese , gen 8 is similar and maybe gen 9 just didn’t sound right in the translation.

Can we like appreciate for a moment that YOASOBI is going the extra mile of making not just an original Japanese version but also a fully English one! Rearranging text rhythm and all to match the beat in a different language is no easy feat when you still make it sound this good and close to the original while still making sense in the lyrics. I am sure these seemingly small but big effort gestures, will further the global appreciation for J-Pop and Anime style music.
YOASOBI is one of the few japanese artist to make english versions of their songs and I appreciate that to bits!
I know there was one who sometimes makes spanish covers of their own songs and thats just as interesting!

I wish they stopped doing it the English sounds so awkward and doesn’t fit the cadence that the Japanese lyrics have… it’s so forced :( we don’t have to cater to the international audience like this…

I love how in the lyrics she mentions all the versions of the Pokemon games thus far. It brings back a lot of memories. Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald will always be my favorite gen.
Didn't get all of them though. They skip Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and Sword/Shield. Also didn't mention Scarlet/Violet, but considering that's what the video is clearly about I'll let that one slide

When you listen to "To find the fun" in sound rather than words, it feels like it sounds like a diamond or pearl. In the Japanese lyrics, ikura sang it to sound like that! Google Translate

I'm always amazed how they take their japanese songs and translate them to english while still making them sound good and without losing the meaning
Some meaning was definitely lost, but given how genuinely high effort the original Japanese is in double meanings, it'd be impossible to get everything across.
