Nice sounds and model train there. I have the Intermountain version as non sound coming to me as I missed out on the ScaleTrains examples sadly. But I love the colors.
Hey Hey 😊 Randall that was sure a pleasing Video 📹 i really like the Color of this Engine the Features especially that DPU light O that's so Cool I like everything so on much that I decited to purchase one in N Scale mine was a Scale Trains Rivit but she didn't have the Ground affects lights & was minus the DPU light she has the light but its just painted Red which was a little disappointing but because of the size they can't add Everything but I guess a modler could add the light if they had the skillset to do such work but I think it Runs Really Well My other Disappointment at first was on Red white & Blue CN BC Rail Engine the Frame on the Rear end of this Engine was Bent mostlikely at the Factory either coming out of the molding or it was dropped on the factory floor they overlooked it & it was painted & it went through other production steps & was then sent to US to Scaletrains then to the Hobbyshop that I purchased it at I did return the model for one that had perfectly straight frame, that Engine Runs pretty good as Well but I'm liking HO a little more & more the Engines cost about the same as N Scale sometimes cheaper but you get more features on the HO Engines & too me there somewhat easier to handle with my small hands.. So you might see me Running them some day.. But Again I was here for the Video & Enjoyed it a lot thinks for sharing it.. Allen D

While N scale has made huge strides in recent years, things like functional ground lights and, in the case of the CN locomotives, DPU lights, might still be a few years away before we see those features from the factory. Glad to hear Scaletrains was able to hook you up with a new model to replace the damaged one, thanks for watching!

I just happened to see the email from them in my inbox and by the time I got on their website, it was already showing fewer than 25 remaining (kinda wish Scaletrains would put the exact number left in stock on their items, but that's neither here nor there). They sold out a little over a day after I ordered mine! Given that these units sold out very quickly, I imagine another run is most likely in the works, thanks for watching!
Apparently, the ground lights automatically dim when "DPU" mode is engaged, which is activated by pressing Function 5 on the DCC controller. This was something I didn't expect with this unit, not sure if it's accurate to the CN units or not, but it is a nifty little feature, thanks for watching!

May I ask how you dimmed the ground lights? What function is it? Thanks....
