Funny thing is this actually happens lol. You can file a complaint to the ministry of education after the test, and every single year there are always students blaming proctors for ‘walking too loudly’, or not giving a warning to the person who was shaking his/her legs, etc..
And if you go to the internet after the test finished, you can see tons of people blaming other students for turning the test pages ‘too loudly’ or something like that so they couldn’t focus... I mean, it’s quite nonsense but I can understand them to some extent as a person who went though that

“Shoutout to you”
He says as he shows “IM SCREAMING TO YOU” in Russian.
Please don’t use Google Translate.
Technically it’s the same thing, so what’s the deal.
@@That_Guy_Ty There's this thing with translation between different languages that idioms and popular slang-ish expressions from a source language don't necessarily have an *exact* equivalent in the target language, and if you try to translate such informal expression word-for-word it would sound awkward and rather like a forced translation that might even have a very different meaning in another language. obviously, even in English "I'm screaming to you" is not really usable as an alternative to this very specific and casual idiom "shout out to you".
From now on I'll use "guys, I'm screaming to you to my homeboy Joe. He's an og"
That makes all the more hilarious to Russians

To people who don't know these kind of exams really suck. In Turkey we have a similar system if you are late they won't let you enter if the kid next to you peed in his pants you can't do anything. One of my friend's seatmates actually vomited on the floor and they literally did nothing. He continued his test because if you leave even for the bathroom you can't enter back. They also have a tight security, searching every croony of your body. No electronics including wristwatches, no pen, pencil, eraser they give a cheap pencil and eraser to you in the exam. I went into depression(clinical depression) like most of my friends at the senior high school it was that bad. And our exam was 160 minutes for the first part , 40+40 for the second part. We also don't have a listening shit which is fortunate so I can't think how South Korean kids take it, poor souls.

@@gmtm7873 It's a trick question. The answer is within one sentence. Just find it and answer the multiple choice. Easier said than done sure. "An imagined past"
The history of the country or your family, depending on the scale you want to put it.
"Provides resources for a heritage"
The history of your clan/country will result in what state your clan/country is in today. The state of your clan/country today will give you the resources, abilities, and skills,

"Remember, the US isn't dumb, it just does a good job of supplying its unskilled labour industries."
LOL
Isn't that the truth of that statement.
Looking at the number of people electing Trump, this statement is false
Doesn't take a genius to realize almost everyone in America works an "unskilled" labor job at somepoint in their life, even if they end up in Harvard, It's just part of the American culture. It's also a country of like 360 million so 47% is still a really huge amount of people.
I hate to go off, but that little digression drove me insane. Unskilled positions don't HAVE to be filled by uneducated people. There is zero penalty to productivity or quality of work when a person with an education does manual labor. Claiming that there's such thing as an "over-educated" population is ridiculous and kind of classist.

@@alexwang982 North Korea time
Parents: Why did you fail the exam?
Student: A star exploded 10 billion light years away and I couldn't concentrate.
The Korean SATs are SO hard... my cousin emigrated to the US for junior and senior year of high school and scored major on the US SATs, went to NYU and THEN transferred to a Korean university. ALL that was the easier way to get in!!! Imagine that!!
Well, born and living in South Korea, this fascinating thing happens every year, which is very foreign to anybody. It's amazing how the entire country becomes quiet during that time. Not even a single sound can be heard nearby street of the test centers. It's also amazing that students who are taking the test can actually ride police cars, or fire trucks in order for them to arrive at the test center on time. All schools have a temporary holiday on that particular day. It's amazing how you handle this topic because it's not well known outside Korea. Thx for the great video you make and I'm always cheering for your hard work on making these high-quality videos!
You're right - I had no idea!
You're england is much gooder than most of we.
We have something similar in Greece.
@GeogWoofy More people voting is not the solution. We need more educated votes from people

Yes now r/whoosh me and I'll reply with an okay
*After the silent breaks, they will shout "First"*
@@aBraveNewNormal :( You just called everyone a loser.
Last
My everything.
"I was not the last person to say it, i was the beginning if it."
Yeah, that was hard to think of without useing the word.
Saying first is not that much worse than writing your comment in bold letters just to draw attention to it
“The test is from 8-6”
Me: I would have died by the halfway mark
You finnaly mentioned Nepal
Imagine running out of fuel mid-air but the listening comprehension exam haven't ended yet
No fuel no engine noise!
The plane will land quieter than a bird. Google Gimli Glider for what happens when a plane runs out of fuel.
Guess ill die
I am willing to bet that airlines plan around it, it isn't like the date just jumps up at them.
Opps my bad guys, forgot that there won't be much plane noise when fuel is out, but I don't suppose the passengers would be as quiet when they hear about this news
Tell me how this was on my recommendations right on the date...
Here in Kenya we have a similar test and it lasts for 21 days....
With such badly written questions, it's no wonder the English section of the exam is so difficult. That paragraph would be destroyed by any editor. It is unnecessarily wordy, almost as if it was written by a kid trying to pad out their 2000 word essay or something.
It makes more sense if you actually start reading at the beginning.
The phrasing is still weird though.
It is designed to throw you off as a foreign speaker. I had Spanish exams that were similarly word salads just to test comprehension.
Maybe the teachers want the students to be editors - who should be able to comprehend those garbage...
If you read you'll notice they're not actually spamming the paragraph with useless information, it's just that the wording is made as insane as possible and the subjects discussed are much too abstract. It's basically "insert your favorite philosopher here with no context".
I'm pretty sure the teachers writing these tests are also Korean. East Asian languages tend to be unnecessarely descriptive. So i guess they also write English based on their culture frame of reference.
A person breathes a bit too loud and everyone would lose their minds
it legit happens
@PGB , Whole country would hear it lol
There are tons of lawsuits about those things.
How the fuck are you everywhere?
Everyone hates those people, along with the ones that accidentally drop something.
