Darker darks are missing from your image. Maybe if your background wasn't as dark and had some color. See how he has blue background and that nicely reflects on shoulders (or otherwise gives purple tint to the darks of his image). I don't know if you ever do that, but you want to shift the hue when painting. So for skin you'd go towards the blues in the dark, and for light you'd go more towards the yellows, it's not all single color. But I enjoyed your video, you're a funny guy. That entirely depends on what is lighting your image. Shadows are often blue specifically because the sky casts a soft blue light over everything, whereas the sun casts down direct light (that's actually white, unless it's near sunrise/sunset, but then you have reflected light which introduces other colours. Sunrise or sunset you can get warm colours from the sun, or if there's warm artificial lighting, then you might get warm light. Otherwise, that colour choice is stylistic not realistic. Unless the sky is present, shadows won't be blue. They'll either be filled with reflected light, or be black.
So dry it becomes funny. Also this was more useful than the tutorial you used because it explains what the action, tool, or setting is doing for the painting and not leaving you in that "how to draw an owl" situation.
I gotta mention: You went all out on this one. I saw 99 percent of your videos are 10 minutes flat to the second. But this one was 10 minutes and 2 seconds. Way to go!!! You're awesome.

WLOP's tutorial started out easy to follow, but as soon as senpai hit us with that "add some details..." I was left in the dust. Like no, Senpai, that wasn't just ''some details", that was the brunt of the piece you absolute magic man.

Never heard of that one, "Draw two circles then draw the rest of the damn owl" describes about all I learned in art class at school. Well, that and glue tastes funny and glitter can and will find a way to become impossible to get off you the second you touch it.
I really need more artists doing this because sometimes I got too depressed/perfectionistic because I couldn't immediately got the result I wanted, but this, this just prove how realistic it is when you started learning/practicing, thanks for the video!

I watched this when it came out, and while I’ve enjoyed the content change over time, (being a fan of both drama channels/commentary channels and art channels) but I never realized how much his voice changed. Deadpan dead inside monotone daddy was his thing, but now he’s dropped it and is much more expressive. I can’t pin point when the change happened but I think it was for the better.
You should really try some dynamic focus poses! I feel like that was another reason why this tutorial is so popular, The more interesting and bodily emotional the pose is the more likely it is to be eye-catching and expressive! Literally just a suggestion keep drawing love it!

I'll say that I learned much more about painting technique from watching your break-down of a tutorial than I do from the tutorial itself.
