  • This is the brand new Cannondale Topstone Carbon and they addressed two issues that held the previous bike back from being as good as it could have been. They've also dropped some weight and have added the SmartSense tech but only to select models. Watch on to get all the details you need to know

What an upgrade from my stolen Fuji Cyclocross 3.0 LE.

I have the old Topstone (2020) which is awesome, however - Cannondale won't let you attach a trailer to it (or to the 2022 version).
I know it's a non-issue for most; but I only wonder why some companies (3T, Canyon, Specialized) have no problem with attaching a trailer to the rear axle, while other companies ('Dale, Giant and others) - do have a problem with it... for me, that's one of the main points for the next gravel bike.

hi. took my topstone carbon 3 for 1900 euros it is pretty good price I suppose but I was forced to change the tape, saddle, seat post and the wheel set with tyres. Why should I do all of this annoying things for such price?. I could not imagine who would buy it for 2800+ euros! it can't be compared to the diverge in same price category. I would definitely go for diverge but specialized decided to put on 1 front cogs for front most of the bikes except Comp version which has 2 cog on front but it costs too much.
And one more thing is the size. The topstone is extremely huge! I'm 188 cm bought Large but it is too big so I switched stem to 80mm + flipped it to upside also saddle adjustment didn't help to fit it correctly...

that type of flex isnt good, carbon will eventually fail as it gets older it continues to degrade and small micro cracks grow, thats one of its main qualities. use a dropper post or suspension post, bigger tyres, and or more padded shorts / saddle and get more travel, compliance, comfort those ways. carbon frames can easily be engineered to last forever and still lighter than alloys but bike brands dont want that. imagine if carbon frames were made to be as heavy as a high end alloy frame it literally would be bomb proof, its breaking point would be insane with no weight penalty

Miele had the reputation for rock solid washing mashines that would work for decades without maintenance. German engineering. The result was that Miele almost went bankrupt because once a customer bought a machine from them they will probably never see him again. His washing machine would follow him all his life until his funeral. So they had to deliberately reduce the quality in order to sell new machines again after a few years.
