Gair Bear visits the newest, state of the art SARCAN location in Saskatoon

Okay, I think everyone can appreciate the importance of recycling. ♻️
I’ve teamed up with SARCAN @sarcanrecycling and I just want you to know that they have opened up a brand new, state of the art facility on Kochar Avenue ⭐️
Last year 1.6 million customers came through the doors of SARCAN, recycling almost 502,000,000 beverage containers🥫
Did you know that you can drop off paint cans, electronics and battery as they can also be recycled. 🔋📺
The impact of these returns is truly astounding. These returns kept over 46 million pounds of valuable resources from entering our landfills, and funneled that material back into the manufacturing cycle, mostly right here in Canada.🇨🇦
This new state of the art facility is double the size of the previous depot in the north area of Saskatoon.
I always love the convenience of the Drop and Go Service. It is super easy. Simply sign into your account at the kiosk using your phone number or email address, print off as many tags as you have bags and boxes, put them on the conveyor and go! ➡️
You can choose to receive your refund with e-Transfer - and with autodeposit turned on, the money goes straight into your bank account as soon as they finish processing your order (around 3-7 business days), or through PayPal or coming back to the depot to pick up a cheque💰
Here are some Sustainability Specs of the new facility:
✅ Tons of natural light, and high-efficiency automatic LED lighting throughout to lower power consumption for lighting.
✅ Sustainable materials used throughout the construction including recycled material useo for wall paneling and flooring.
✅ Fully automated conveyors are built into our counters to eliminate physical stress on employees and eliminate our use of plastic bags for material handling - all of the material handling at this facility uses reusable containers which dramatically reduces our waste output. And so much more…
