In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Be sure to stay subscribed to stay up to date with my latest expeditions, y'all! - Zábava
I almost cried when you left the guitar in the dumpster. A little wood glue and it could have been a few hundred dollars, it was a 70s Japanese copy of a Gibson.
Hey Mike, I made my first trip to a scrap yard, I took 4 aluminum rims from an old car of mine. Total weight was 84 pounds and I got $67.20
I had tried to sell them but no one was interested in buying them even for $40, so I said why not do what Mike would do and scrap them.
You could have put them on the curb for me to find. 😁
Nice job, and now you may be hooked.
Come on Mike, you know the rules, if something is unidentified it's a spaceship part!!
Hahaha
😂
Was I the only one saying that rug looked new and garage sale worthy???
The black Santa is a score for sure should bring a nice penny
mike keep the guitar for your scrap yard gig at the end of unloading the truck.
The way Mike jumps in and out of any number of dumpsters in an episode gives me aches and pains the very next morning . Watching him chatter to his followers and dive in to the unknown goop at the bottom of every dumpster keeps me coming back time after time.
I'd be worried about jumping inside
and landing on some exposed nails
or screws or broken glass etc.
Back in the early 80's when I was about 13 I had a pinball wizard shirt!
I never throw away good clothes I always donate them
The pieces you put in the milk crate are electric pickups similar to what are used on overhead cranes.
Mike, that Himalayan pink salt lamp is worth a coupla bucks. When warmed by the light bulb (makes a cool nightlight) it gives off negative ions to clean the air.
Some news channel did a test on those and found they do nothing.
It is really just for looks but people do pay good money for some of those depends on size and the news isn't very smart anyway lol about like believing everything on the web lol
It's an evolved Pet Rock
So they say.
Pink Himalayan salt is kinda trendy for cooking though. I wonder how a variable size coffee grinder would work for bringing it to a granulated size
They are very cool. I've had one for probably 20 years. Nice glow.
Keeping the Faith. Fellow scrapper, scrap yard operator. Enjoy your videos Mike. Keep our country clean. Scrap
Thank You Sir!
@@MikeTheScavenger thinking about getting serious about scrapping and possibly doing this dumpster diving. Going through a lot I used to scrap here and there. I'm thinking about doing this full time. Any advice? I'm 28 but I enjoy picking up curbside scrap but I need other places to go to? What stores should I hit like Napa autozone I know quite bit about metal rotors are good money and radiators
im thinking dottie needs a voice for when you throw things into her. something beyond the wonderful screams youve been adding. im talking voice over. "Hey watch it scrapper" or "watch the paint munchacho". great stuff as always. keep being the best of all of us
Dottie could moan or scream with pleasure depending on what you put in her... I like the ceiling fan pain screams ..how about when you clip cords that could have like a yelp or quick yell..
⁰⁰
@@godddamnit5868 oooo yeah some "that all you got juice monkey" or "harder big boy, i can take it" like where you head is at godd dammitt godd damnit
Give those nice clothes to a charity Mike
Mike those keys 🔑 save. There is a whole series of them that open certain kind of Motorola equipment. I won't say the 4 digits on the keys.
Hi Mike you have a nice day
The bench in the dumpster look very nice
Love the blow molds
I was shouting the same as everyone else "take the santa and snowman". Also, I'm sat here watching with Hector and asking him for a second opinion as to what he would do. But Hector, unfortunately, is a two year old puppy who is quite ignorant at times. He told me quite clearly "who's Mike, what's CZcams and why have you woken me up" 😂
I remember you jumping out of that one dumpster and that pool pump gashed open your shin. Brutal AF brother!
Thank you, @mike the scavenger. You are the GOAT!
Van Halen? Rescue! Blow molds and a gigantic salt lamp? Score! Mike found everything and its Aunt Edna tonight.
Hey Mike. The lsa supercharged engine cover is for a 2012ish camaro and the other piece is a strut tower brace. Both worth a few bucks. Great channel btw
Blow molds are going for crazy money here. I think you can find the combination to that safe.
Hey Mike if the t shirts have single stitch all the shirts are vintage shirts 👕 👌
Those mystery things with the three blades on a swivel are called collectors and are used to supply power to moving carriers on sorting machines. I used hundreds of them in a postal sorting facility.
The ones we used were about thirty dollars apiece.
The actual blades were a bronze alloy.
Thank you! I was reading all the comments till I saw one about those. I was thinking a limit switch contact kinda thing!
That Santa and Frosty are very collectable and should sell in the Houston area for a pretty penny!!! over 500 for the set...if you can hang on too them till the holidays..
You can call the safe company and they can provide a como.b I was able to do it with my safe I got years ago. That one ishould work too. Hope that helps Mike.
Human popsicle ha ha ha . I love it 😀
That laugh gives you away. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Most of the ice makers are just the pump quit pumping, take apart and clean pump and clean and it will usually work ,the one you have ain’t the 99 dollar one ,but used sell quick for 50
Hey Mike you can get good money for the blow mold Santa and Snowman. Great haul in scrap. Got a good workout today. Enjoy your ventures in scrapping and all your other videos. You are the man no other videos compare to yours. Oh by the way how are the dogs doing hope they are getting along fine together. Stay safe out there.
Excellent dumpster diving some pretty awesome stuff this trip looking forward to the update video thank you for sharing five stars brother
I would love to see you open the safe
Nice safe! Bet it was expensive. Get a locksmith to open it and give you a combination. Will be a keeper.
I'm glad you keep the stuff that people throw away from going to landfills and you earn a few bucks for it keep on scavaging😎
Thanks Mike appreciate it!
Human popsickle!?? I'm friggin dyin' 🤣
What that is???? TREE!!!! THANK YOU Mike!
Keep it up brother we all enjoy your diving adventures.
The Blow Molds are awesome. The Vintage Black Santa can fetch well over $200. I sold a Frosty similar for $80. Cool finds.
Mike is knocking on 425 subs! Great job Scavenger Nation!
The thing you are calling a rock is a Himalayan salt lamp the light heats the salt and it's supposed to be good for you
Just love your videos..keep them coming..always enjoy watching you...
They are addicting like sugar lol
Those lsa supercharger engine covers go for like 70 bucks each on ebay
Another good night dumdster diving Mike can't wait till the next one God bless you and yours from ohio
That guitar would have made a awesome birdhouse
That’s a good idea
That aluminum bar is a support that goes between the two strut Mount above the engine
I enjoy watching u, it never gets old
First time i see you find a safe. Keep up the good work mike i love your vids. Goden Side table goes with the pink light rock.
I was so glad to see you grab those blow molds. They range from 40-200 on eBay! Good score.
Those "interesting things" are runners for overhead crane trolley they connect to the power rails you've had the bronze shoes that go in them before... that stuff ain't cheap!
Hi Mike always nice too see ya, nice way to start my day. Thank you. Scrap Scrap ❤️
awesome commentary throughout the video really helps out
Nice score with the blow molds!
Awesome Mike,, you provide us quality entertainment,,, 👌
Hey Mike!
We are still waiting followup video on yellow cable find:)
Good score on the rotors!!! I missed them at first.
Keep em coming mike. Love the videos!
They are addicting
Very nice to see you this morning. Now this day is going to be better! Keep it in the road
Mike, you are hilarious! When you pulled the Santa Blow Mold, I laughed out loud!
Those car parts are worth a little bit. That is a strut tower brace probably for a camaro. Should have part numbers on it and should be worth $100 or more.
Great video today and the black santa is a first one for me never seen that one before got to be worth a few quid on eBay 😀 👍 😄 👌
Hey Mikey!!!! …. that’s a salt rock lamp
it can be used as a nite light.🤣👍🏼👍🏼
Think Yard Sale stuff Mikey! The money comes to you. Love this channel. I'm jealous of your dumpsters.
I’m glad you grabbed those blow molds. I was hoping to see them standing up in the back of your truck! 🤣🤣
Hey Mike, you ever get all that huge pile of yellow wire done? Curious how that turned out.
Your rock with the hole is a Pink Himalayan salt lamp. Yes those safes are mostly a fireproof concrete refactory and can usually open with a specialty numbered key through a cap covered hole.
Way to go Mikeyty, Mike, Mike, Mike. Once more into the dumpster!
Great job today Mike!!! Thanks for taking us along ! Those blow molds were super cool find . Keep safe keep hydrated!!!
Hi mike amazing to see another scrap video always enjoy yu alway do awesome job what yu do
Luving sound affects Mike lol 👍🏼
Nice score but to me it seemed like last open top you forgot a box of pans.
I'd like to see a teardown of those oxygen concentrators.
The insides are interesting and great for the scrapper.
"EWWW...don't know what that was..." 🤢🤢😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the video Mike!!
16:45 Salt lamps are not cheap especially one of that size.
Good find. 👍
Hey Mike! Great job AGAIN! That "heavy rock" looked like one of those salt lamps.
My sister-in-law used to sell those salt lamps and she gave us one, and wow was it expensive !! And it was just a little bowl shaped one. Why don’t you take those wire coat hangers ? In the three years of watching you I’ve only seen you take them once ! Until next time take care ♥️♥️🇨🇦
That guitar would have glued up. I've got one that had the same problem and it's spot on now.👍
The guitar you could of fixed up someone could buy and use as decor
Like I said before Mike / those file cabinets make great bbq smokers ! Fire in thr bottom door , wood chips in the third door and meats in the next two doors up !
Hey Mikey, thanx a lot again for the cool vid, wish they were longer cause I neva get bored watching them.
N "Trash of the Good Kind" sounds like a good one for a Tshirt
Also "God or Gods of Scrap"
Christmas decorations look vintage.
Great way to start a day. Mighty Mike and Dotty. I think you left something in the dumpster that you got the sway bar out of. Something at the front. The blew molds are worth money if they are the old ones. I think they are making them again so I don’t know if there would be a date on them somewhere or not. Stay safe and God Bless
Mike, Grab the TV remote controls next time. Most go for $20 on EBay. Easy to ship.
When I saw the blowmolds, I was pointing at the screen telling you to YES, take them! Good find!!
Was thinkin you'd jam out on that guitar with your famous air guitar action, lol
yeah bro 👌😎
If that is a fireproof cabinet those are very expensive. Would be worth getting key from manufacturer and reselling.
Mike gets out there in them dumpsters for the better of our world! Keep on rocking man!!!
Thanks so much Mike!
Mike, take all the tees. Single stitched are selling on ebay like hotcakes 🥞
People should donate clothes, especially to the women and children shelters or at least salvation army. They all looked like good clothes
More great finds🤘🤘🤘
At 16:22; It is a big piece of Hymalayan Salt. They make great lights.
the containers are always a surprise yes from germany
Nice! Thanks for sharing with us.
They say Christmas is just round the corner, but not for Mike it's in a dumpster lol
