Hi, I'm an ARMY since September 2013. Shiki, it hurts so bad. We are used to it but it still hurts. They have been mistreated, disrespected and ignored since the beginning and we have been fighting since the beginning too. It really breaks my heart that we are now in 2022 and still dealing with the same s... tuff. Not only internationally but also locally. If it was not for their real talent, strength, moral compass and of course ARMY. They wouldn't never have make it. No other Western or K-pop artists has ever put out such amount of music in such short time. Keep the good work. You are one the kindest and most genuine reactor on CZcams.

what's heartbreaking is that it "seems" like ARMYs are the only one who are truly aware of this whole payola nadcorruption things. we're loud about this but the others don't care. once their own artists experience it, they're like, "why did this happen?" bcs the industry is corrupt! ARMYs have been saying this for years yet you don't care. you turned into a blind eye unless it happens to your faves. take a look at the ticketmaster thingy for the obvious example. we've been saying for years that ticketmaster is really problematic. people don't care. silence. then it happened to T4ylor Sw1ft, suddenly people care, media care, articles here and there. frustrating, really.

I really can't understand how an artist or label could be proud or look in the mirror, by achieving something in a corrupt way. They just put up a façade, so insincere. No conscience.
Shiki not only BTS suffers from injustice. The Weeknd had the no. 1 album of 2021, won numerous awards at the American Music Award 2021 but had not even one nomination at the Grammys. He'd boycotted the Grammys. There are always strings that are pulled left and right. The artists have not much to do with it, it plays out way above their pay grade.

i always commend bts so much because not only did they come from a small company and not resort to dirty tactics but they weren't born wealthy or from famous parents which also gives you insane connections and a start in the industry most people would never be able to achieve

It’s so sad BTS has to deal with racism, xenophobia and corruption no wonder RM has anxiety and depression. As you said if ARMY did not call them out it would not be exposed.
It's happening to everyone. The difference for BTS is that they're the most popular and the least likely to enter a contract. BTS doesn't want to sign with an American Label. They have an exclusive distribution contract and Hybe as a whole is partnered with an American Label I believe, but BTS doesn't have a company that represents them in the USA. Where, at the start, companies were eager to recruit them and offer shady deals to offer to make them more famous, get them more plays and whatnot, BTS and BigHit decided that it wasn't worth the fame when it went directly against their values and everything they'd spoken up about. Leaving the Korean Music market, which is already corrupt, only to enter a market arguably worse, wasn't what they wanted and when Labels began to recognize that they started looking for other Kpop groups to promote that WOULD go for that deal in hopes to erase BTS, unsuccessfully. Because BigHit plays fair, they're always at a disadvantage and being bullied to comply but BigHit is used to that. Hybe, the company BigHit built, is used to it. They don't play games like that

I play all BTS songs and their solo work over and over day after day. If I'm only 1 Army doing this imagine what the chart position of them should be with all Armies streaming!!

I have nothing but praise for them and Hybe/Big Hit for not pandering to these big labels and Spotify by refusing to pay their way in. They get their on their own merits always love them all

A lot of music executives and directors have transitioned to become Spotify executives. BTS is experiencing the same thing they experienced in Korea. These companies were upset that they created their own path and became the biggest thing in Korea. To this day their achievements are not front page on the news.

I mean the aren't going to say to Olivia Rodrigo 'by the way, you didn't have the sales and streams to match BTS but we are naming you as number 1'. Of course they didn't. Her management don't care and manipulate the people and the statistics.

Heres how bad it ACTUALLY is with Interscope (Note: I’ve switched to my backup acct so I can speak more freely) During the time Butter was blocking Olivia Rodrigo from the #1 on BB Hot 100 week after week, Interscope was actively trying to sabotage Butter by attacking ARMYs. And I dont mean just trolling. I mean they clearly had HIRED a force of trolls (there were WAY too many to just be stans of OR) to ratio and take down top strategy accts, target ARMY&BTS with the nastiest media play I’ve ever heard (ARMY are bots blah blah blah) and even outright threaten our strategists, big streaming funding and radio request bases that if we didn’t back off they would make us regret it. How do I know all this? I was managing dms for one of these accts. Dynamite was a rough era no doubt, but I HAVE NEVER seen more vicious and *obviously coordinated* attacks on key ARMY strategists than when Butter waas blocking Interscopes new little darling and btw there are indications that she was aware, at least in part, of what was being done on her behalf. (Side note: Its why we laughed SO HARD when Tae took the key to “break in” to the Grammys from none other than Olivia Rodrigo🤭)
All this shady things in the industry are outrageous.... So many Armys complains about BTS being given side looks everywhere specifically from people who don't have a clue about them, only for being asian... It's the same with radios and it's so frustrating... Yes prejudice and money rules the world.... 😠😤🤬

@Shiki - The most important results for BTS are (1) ARMYS (2) SOLD OUT CONCERTS WORLDWIDE (3) SOLD OUT ALBUMS (4) SOLD OUT MERCH. It is these 4 things that provide our BTS members with a legacy and more importantly, a life. It's not some trinket awards that give them legitimacy.
This is why The Weeknd wrote off the Shammys (Grammys) and all other American Award Shows - because they tried to screw him and he said: FU - I have my fans and I sell out everywhere.

Its not just bts vs whole music industry. But also bts vs their own label that who already been taken by UMG. Its a mistake bighit has been taken by UMG. I think this is why all of member going solo, they want army open their eyes and one of the most mysterious between member is JK. None of his song (stay alive, left&right, and dreamers) is under hybe agency and he is the only one member who always bring BTS name in every his song. This is doesnt happen with other bts member solo songs.

I know you are nice but I’m just going to address the elephant in the room. BTS has to fight for everything they earn, at home in their own country and abroad. If the Kpop industry could just bury BTS but still reap the benefits of BTS’s hard work, they would. As far as Black Pink is concerned, they need to work just as hard as BTS and not rely on label stealth to make achievements. BTS literally runs circles, I do mean GIANT circles around every single idol group out, but they ], except for a few, refuse to acknowledge them for even making the way for these groups to even enter the world scene. BTS could have taken the easy way too and paid for success but they grew organically. I applaud them for that because they are NOT beholding to any company or conglamorate and this upsets the big dogs cause they can’t lay claim to any of their success. These companies did everything in their power to try and kill them early in their careers it didn’t work then and it won’t work now. I’m so angry right now. I’m just having a rant.

yes they will keep BTS out but i am sure they are doing it to also keep all of kpop out because they know how powerful it has become. they were ok with BTS at the beginning because they were the only one. but now that more and more groups comes up it will begin to flood every streaming platform. you can see they also changed the award categories and made alterrations on billboard trending and digital sales to minimize the threat.

and they are not. they were build differently. and when a group wins album of the year, it´s the label who can really take the award not the idol who is just a product to promote their songs. and fans are delu thinking they are rewarding the idols. in the end when idols quit the career they dont get credit for songs anymore it´s the producer and label who gets it.
idols get paid to be a singer and dancer and entertainer.
but with BTS they all have credits on songs and they will be treated as artist not idols when they are old. and that is the right way to do music. collaborate with the label instead of applying for a job.

The guy has been abusing his power for way too long, and Spotify´s following excuse and "apology" for the "mistake" to Army after they tried to rob Jungkook his crown in such a sly way was as fake as his business conduct. I love this video so much!! It's an issue that has been going on for years but this 2022.. damn so many unfair things have happened to BTS in different platforms like Spotify and CZcams and that have affected them a lot.
YG's media play is crazy. And hey, I don't dislike that group, I like some songs and I used to be a fan but can't deny they (it's probably their company) are playing so f dirty and I just don't like that it all. When I was a fan I remember that I never liked the fact that when YG posted an articles or something about BP, they always had to mentions BTS and put their "the next BTS" narrative. Why not work harder and do better music instead of pretending being bigger and the best??
The music industry is just getting more and more corrupt. BTS has hits but everyone is trying to hide it and they even refuse to play BTS in the radio now (even is it's an English song) and suddenly Billboard is changing the rules for the Hot 100 and made almost everything about radio play which basically means that it's more like a Hot Payola 100.. 💀
We are not hating to some artists but speaking the truth and what is happening right now. We can't stay quiet forever. We trended that Spotify issue and thank to that, it was fixed. Like you said, it's a sad conclusion but it's the reality and the best thing we can do is support our favorite artists. BTS is huge and even with all these sabotages, they are the ones that are constantly at the top of the charts, they are the ones that can sold out so many stadiums and that's something that other companies can't hide. 💅

I only got Spotify premium for BTS. Before BTS, I tried Premium and was like nah. Didn’t even listen to free Spotify cuz I hated the experience. The moment BTS decides to retire from Spotify, I’m canceling that premium membership cuz I still hate Spotify. I just love the members more than I hate Spotify.

I have no issue with the girl group themselves, it is all about the media play from their company. And this is bad image for the girl group to the extend that some baby armys or toxic armys started to leave hate comments to the girls and started the fandom war. I definitely believe that all of them are hard working and wants to produce great works but the fact that their music label is only looking into profits makes it way harder for the girls to go further.

It is a shame that potential American audiences are unaware of BTS music, because they are missing out and being fobbed off with second rate music. It is almost universal that reactors who say I'll just listen to this one song by BTS because I was nagged, but it's not my thing. When they listen to a BTS song they invariably are amazed and say "I want to hear more".
