    Hi Justin
    Glad you had a break and recharged your batteries 🙏👍❤️
    Lovely neat work mate , another sloping drive mate , you don’t have it easy do you mate 😓👍 at least you got a few drains to angle the water away with your patio to prevent flooding, I might have been tempted to put some acco drains at the bottom of that ramp where it meets your raised patio just into that drain to stop the water coming down the slope and slipping round on to that raised patio ? Lovely work pal and another tidy quality job from you and your lads , keep safe mate and have a good week 🙏🙏👍❤️

      Morning john
      Thanks for the post as always mate .I think although its difficult i do like to challenge myself sometimes and to be honest the people are lovely mate .id rather take on a slightly tricky job with nice peoole than take on an easy job with someone who isn't my cup of tea .
      Eco or Aco drains as you all call them went in yesterday. So its moving on slowly. Keep safe good luck to you and the lads.

    Love your videos buddy. I was meant to be starting my 2 weeks off work in just over an hour, but I've delayed it until beginning of August as this weather is shocking here in South Wales as you'll know. It's going to be difficult enough having a go at the patio without the weather on top!

    Recommend a fine sponge or wind muffler on the audio mic to stop the wind noise. Shame the next door neighbours refused the offer of a new wall, especially as it was pointed out to them that it ready to go and the fact that they would not have to pay for it. It a shame as when it does go and needs to be rebuilt it will interfere with the new work already done on the new patio. A new wall would have enhanced the new patio as well.

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  Před měsícem

      If its the pointy round bit your referring to we find it just makes holes in the concrete and gets stuck .the narrow bit is ok but we found the wider bit works best even if it is the wrong one i dont no its what works best on each job 😉

    Great video fellas. I have almost bang on the same exact garden layout and have just completed lifting the concrete aswell, tough work.... In regards to falls at the side of the house assuming you didn't have the ramp and manholes to contend with, would it be better to have the fall running in the direction towards the neighbours walls (wall neighbour didn't want removed).

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  Před 2 lety

    Hello, I'm DIYing a patio, however it will sit proud of the lawn ( above not below ) Any advice you could give in terms of the base way to contain the Subbase when compacting, didn't want to go down the gravel board route, would these rot in time, comprimising the compacted base & patio? Maybe use bricks, although i have seen this tin edging available from Screwfix, wondered if any good or what you would do ? Many thanks in advance for any tips/ advice you could give !

    • @brickrightbuildinglandscaping
      @brickrightbuildinglandscaping  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Brick is good the rest you mentioned i wouldn't use that .
      Google concrete path edgings 900 x 150 x 50 mm .
      As long as the 150 mm in height is good for you concrete them into the ground good to go .
      If you need more height you can by a concrete slab 900 x 600 mm and cut them to the height you need thay are basically the same as the path edging just in slab format. Hopefully that helps you as an easy way forward thats durable and simple.to do .good luck 👍💯

      Mental that eh. Great tool you’ll like never fully replace gas but the cordless is the real deal for all your fancy slabs monoblock and porcelain great cutting the facing bricks does t really jam up as sometime may happen with power in the gas saws. Press the button and blade is at full power and your away less moaning from neighbours if early in morning haha 😂 we will see you in action with it soon. 😎😎🤟
