Kermit Weeks Hangar - Zábava
Mr. Kermit sir...Kudos to you...You are THE MAN.....but you gave credit to your EXCELLENT CREW Paul especially! A great leader acknowledges his great crew.
Good of Kermit to give Paul a shout out for his fine work, lovely aircraft.
I'm betting that Stinson didn't look that good rolling off the assembly line.. Beautiful work by Paul!
OHHHH the sound of a radial.......with both poles of the magneto working sounds soooo good.!
Good on you Kermit for getting that Award. and to Paul too for doing the engineering .......Great to watch too Kermit
Way to go Paul!! You have a great man there Kermit. What a team! That airplane is beautiful. It looks like it just came off the assembly line.
15 years of HARD work finally paid off. Paul should have gotten that reward. 😁👍🏼
WOW, what a beautiful restoration job. Paul is one heck of a craftsmen. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your videos with us.
Excellent film footage and sound. Great commentary.
Kermit, I met you back in '95. You were flying an Xtra 300, and landed at Richards field where I was getting checked out in a J-3. You taxiied over to say hi, and I still think that was pretty cool. You are having too much fun! It must be illegal in some way. Beautiful restoration as usual.
Congrats to Paul and crew.... Can’t wait till the museum opens to see it in person
Kermit, you're very fortunate to have a guy like Paul working for you.
i know I am kind of off topic but does anyone know a good site to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Braylen Nasir i watch on Flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Roman Major Yea, I've been using FlixZone for years myself :D
@Roman Major Thanks, signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I appreciate it!
@Braylen Nasir Happy to help :D
Props plus to Paul - a very talented guy. Great result Kermit and very well deserved.
Great work Paul, Kermit you are lucky to have such a talented restorer on your staff.
Wow. How satisfying was that? As with any objective, collecting the right people to complete the project is paramount. Kudos to you for realizing that and judging by the result, to Paul for being that right guy,
Beautiful! Thanks Kermit, Paul and the rest of your team!
Well done Paul and Kermit
Happy to say I saw that bird under restoration about a month before completion. Was amazed then, Still amazed now.
My grade school, Kirby school in Grosse Pointe Farms MI, donated money to buy an L-1 in 1941 when I was in kindergarten so your video takes me back. You did a fantastic job in restoration. Your video puts a face and perspective on what my childhood was like. Paul and Kermit what a team, 15 years careful work honors Stinson Aircraft Company also. I am building a cab for my snowblower, did you use Lexan or Plexiglass or both. Your fastening of the materials so well done in all the different places. Your video will live on well into the future, which maybe longer than the airplane and it travels around the world. Thank you so much . Don Kaake
What a cool plane. I love older stuff being kept operational.
You have one lovely observation type warbird there Kermit,Paul has made a superb job as usual in restoring her to the condition the airplane was like in the field, the RAF had a few of them calling them the Vigilant, these came under wartime lease lend from the USA,loved the short hop flight to Sun and Fun with the roar of that big radial in the background, thanks once again for sharing with us an important part of your outstanding collection.
Paul’s the man. He is very organised.
Stall speed is incredible.
Wow..that seems Iike a huge engine. What a cool old plane. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! This is amazing dedication. So impressed.
Very clean restoration, looks amazing!
I toured your museum and saw some skin parts being remanufactured. It was wonderful.
Kermit, you are truly blessed to have Paul working for you. He is a protectionist at everything he does. Congratulations!!! 😁👍🏼
Great video, amazing Job Paul!
15 years is a long time. Congratulations
That aircraft deserved to win, if it's taken back to 100% factory spec, it cannot be perfected any further. When Paul demonstrates on his walk through videos how a project aircraft is going to pan out it will. Now I understand why those many aircraft restoration projects take so long to complete. Second best doesn't come into it.
You have a great crew working away in the background Kermit turning unfit to fly aircraft back to immaculate just off the production line flying condition. 👍🛩
Not to take anything away from the fighters and the bombers, it's great to see these other military aircraft restored and flying. If you get an opportunity I would love to see a side by side, pros/cons, likes/dislikes, and any anecdotes you might wish to share about your Stinson here and your Storch - both beautiful airplanes. These videos are very interesting and informative - thanks for sharing.
10:03 Crew weight 400 lbs...not as much of an issue in 1942...pre-McDonalds era
Especially in a combat area where there wasn't much to eat. Pictures of guys on those Pacific Islands show them mostly emaciated looking.
Sorry I missed this...FANTASTIC! Happy Thanksgiving Kermit to you and yours!
Keep up the good work!
WOW! What an amazing video. Thanks again, Kermit, for sharing. Maybe one day I meet you personally.
Paul is an artist.
Does Paul fly also? He's an artisan! love his work, I remember his saying during a Mechanics Corner session, Persistence, Patience and Passion. Thats my mantra now to overcome hurdles. Keep up the good work mate!
Oh! and you too Kermit. :-)
Now that's what I call a glass cockpit!
What a nice simple Airplane!
Thanks for posting again. I do love the content from the Weeks Hangar, but this video was posted and new a long time ago...
It was presented as a Throw Back Tuesday post. And it has never been on Kermit Weeks Hangar. You may have seen a version of it on the FoF page.
Paul has an impressively labyrinthine knowledge.
I love this channel!!!!
Thanks!
Get paul working harder on the BF-108 looking forward to the next update ;)
James Lennon That would be great.. That's a sweet airplane..
Too cool
It may not be flashy, but I think it would be a ball to fly.
Stinson sure made some fantastic airplanes.
Paul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! winner
Love the Nav-Comm remote panel. Looks like HF TX-RX and VLF ARC-5 and rare? I did not notice the radio bay on the video?
WOW just WOW
Wow, talk about a field of view! Seems like its all windows.
Also, Kermit can you explain what goes into making a Warbird into a grand champion? Maybe Paul can explain what goes into it. Well done!
That airplane is the same age as me but in way better condition:) I wish it were mine, I would be flying it all the time, if I knew how to fly?
Did you boys exceed the crew weight limit?
All of the greatest airplanes have two characteristics.... round engine...YEP CHECK..... three wheels with one under the rudder..YEP check... Blue ribbon guaranteed. Why?....Who else has a NEW STINSON? !
Go Green
Is 80 kts cruise?
Damn, Ya gotta be quick to be first LOL
Where do you get all your money from?
I want to Fly…
Hey Kermit, get some PENS. All that and no pen. What?
