A sound strategy would have been where Azog and a captain would have charged a single miniature. Captain calls heroic fight, Azog calls heroic strike and then IF its favorable to you you could have tried to attack the Emperor. Perhaps it would have been also more fruitful to let Azog and Bolg mince through the lines of Easterlings to trim down the lines.
27th minute, when the Palaquin does its hits on Azog when he's trapped, why weren't these doubled? Every time I've played the DE and I've been trapped, the attacks get doubled from both?
There is a difference between strikes and attacks. An attack against a trapped model is doubled into two strikes*. The palaquin says add 6 strikes against a model, not contribe 6 attacks, which would then be doubled. A similar application of the rule is that you do not get to double strikes against a trapped model while using the rend brutal power attack.

Lovely stuff. As much as I enjoy a spicy tremor from brorgir, I feel like it's best reserved for when it can really make a huge impact on the game in a crucial location. Brorgir's ability to chuck out S6/S10 bladewraths for 5 or more turns is just insanely valuable and consistent, especially when you factor in rutabi trapping her opponents or the Emperor's palanquin strikes. Having said that, there are also games where tremor will just win you the game outright on turn 2...
Also, MVP has to go to rutabi's unyielding combat stance which definitely kept her alive and potentially won the game. Wish I would remember that rule existing even just once...
Thanks Danny! I think in this instance he was hoping to nuke my banner when no one else could pick it up but unfortunately it was a general whiff! The Bladewrath on the Emp is absolutely deadly, agreed.
Unyielding combat stance has cost me far too many games at this point :( If it helps, pop a loom band on rutabi to remind you!

The Easterlings have my admiration. I couldn't stand putting together the FW black dragons.
Did you have a bad batch or something? I have 4 packs of the FW Black Dragons and each one have been fantastic! Couple of pikes were a little warped but after using a hair dryer on them carefully I got all of them straight.

@@anyheroics Ah, a lot of it's Azog cause he is way more powerful (or under costed) than he should be, yeah, but also - F7 Bolg is BS, Gundabad trolls getting either Mighty Blow or +1 to wound AND an extra wound AND Ancient Enemies for 20 pts over Morder trolls is seriously annoying, the Catapult troll is just plain goofy, and I don't like troll brutes on principle (just not a fan of trampling attacks in general). War bats are also kinda annoying, but less so than other stuff in the list that I don't like lol.
