- Retainers can be hard to take out, especially when you first get them after braces are off. It's always best to start on one side in the back and then move to the other side. If you have trouble taking them out with your fingers, or don't want to break your nails in the process, then you can get an aligner remover to help. Just follow the instructions in this video and you're good to go!

I wore a retainer for 4 years and never had issues. Maybe if people didn't walk around with velociraptor nails afraid to chip them it wouldn't be an issue and they wouldn't have to buy special supplies.

I have Invisalign and they had to put attachments on my teeth which make them VERY difficult to get out, so I have to get them off by shoving my fingers in my mouth and taking them off from behind my teeth :))

@@sporadic001 it honestly depends on how jacked your teeth are. If theyâre more on the bad side then your orthodontist is 100% gonna recommend braces so it gets the job done properly instead of Invisalign. My teeth werenât too bad because I had already done a round of braces in the past so I only have to have Invisalign for a year and half to two years. Honestly just depends

I used to use the ortho keys to remove my invisalign near the beginning of my treatment since it was really hard to take them out
This happened to me when I first got mine. Because I got the retainers 2 weeks after getting my braces removed my teeth moved quite alot so putting them in was hard. But taking them out was harder because they where literally stuck on there lol
Did this problem get solved? I mean did your teeth shift back when you started wearing your retainer?
Since not everyones gonna need em, they don't need to necessarily provide it but they could just have it at the dentist reception area r something or at all local pharmacies so people know where to buy it from quickly instead of searching for these products and waiting for the delivery in pain or inconvenience.
you can also use plastic water bottle caps to pull from the top instead of digging it into the inside which sometimes hits the gums. i had braces for five years and have had retainers for three and it what i use whenever they get stuck

Watching his videos about retainers reminded me I should go see an ortho again I lost my mine when I was in high school that was two years ago still havenât found them and they are not the clear ones either they are the metal ones and Iâm suppose to have a permanent retainer as well but havenât gotten them

I think getting them out from the inside is way easier other than the outer side so kinda get your nail and go to the back back molar inside the retainer
My trick is to start from the inside of the back teeth pry it off both sides before pulling it off altogether from the side that works best for you

If you have retainers don't pull them from the front. Take your left hand and pull your retainer out from the back right- or the other way around (right to left). Seeing her do that pains me inside

I was just like yâall to hear this I donât make shit up for a CZcams comment, but when I first got Invisalign it worked for a month or two I always wore it then one of the tabs of glue on my tooth where it sticks onto came off and the lady at the orthodontist put the glue back on, Iâm thinking too high because then it wouldnât snap on over that piece an they gave me a power chain after I told her what I thought, pretty sure I was right to this day youâd think an ortho could correct it if it was wrong but they didnât care ab redoing the invisalign even though I liked it an then had to have a few shitty first days w the power chain, have a great life whoever read this!

I had a problem with taking my retainer off - so I just went to my orthodontist and asked her about it and she fuled the retainer on the spot so now it can be taken off easily. Just ask your doctor really they should know how to solve this issue plus they should teach you the right technique how to do it!!

Me already have retainer: i put my fingers at the end of my tooth and pull it with both sided ( 2 finger and 1 hand in one side ), my comfortable side is the left.
the instructions on the invinseline says to removed them from behind and I don't understand why nobody does that, even my debits was surprised because I had to stop her from struggling to get my retainers out at an appointment

i usually try to take the top ones out from the back of my front teeth inside of my mouth as it is typically easier then sides. then the bottom ones i just use my thumb nails :/ idk if it works for everyone
