- In our brand new DEEP series we interview fascinating people who have lived unique lives. In this episode we have talked to Lee Davies, who used to work as a prison guard in the North of England and got corrupt. Lee shared his lifestory and explained how he got onto the wrong path and what followed after he was caught.
Thanks to Lee for taking part! You can follow him here - www.instagram....
Welcome to DEEP - a brand new channel that brings you incredible people with amazing stories from all over the world.
If you've seen the team's previous work - Minutes With/The Gap/Agree To Disagree...then you know what to expect!
Let us know if there's anyone in particular you think we should speak to - we love bringing you stories and want to hear what you like.
Thanks and we hope you enjoy!
I really hope this channel takes off. It's been really interesting so far.
Thank you so much! We do too...
I'll gladly back other comments commending the channel for cutting out interviewer questions and over all production quality. Hats off to Lee for telling his story so well and openly sharing his human fallible imperfections.
You have another subscriber, cheers.
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤
I was an officer for 30 years in various jails, when you’re working with the same inmates over a long period of time you get on friendly terms and sometimes they test the boundaries, just got to be alert to what’s happening, I never got pulled into trafficking but mobile phones and drugs weren’t a particular issue when I served- this ex officer made mistakes, it’s a difficult environment.
Agreed,,,i was on the other side of the door,,in my experience as long as you dont make the screws job any harder than it already is hell let you get away with ALOT,,i did 12
Did you
Touch young men up then?

Wow one of those times that first, I feel obligated to take the time and comment, and second say that video went by in a blink in the best way possible. What an engaging and thoughtful narration from Lee, cheers to you and the DEEP team. Excellent work keep them coming 🙏
Thank you so much for the kind comment. New videos every Wednesday and Saturday - were very new so please feel free to tell us what we’re doing right and wrong!
I'm convinced. You really are a normal guy. Most of us are capable of both good and evil in certain circumstances.
Thankyou ❤
Those of us who believe they're incapable of evil are the most at-risk of doing evil.
Very interesting and the guys quite good at telling his stories
What he did was wrong, but his expiation seems genuine. I only say this because I have also seen an interview where a disgraced officer talks about their wrongdoings gleefully with a odius leer, as if it was all in jest. Bearing the consequences of your actions steers you towards the light. Good on you.
@PEOPLEAREDEEP Great channel! I like the way you edit out the voice of the interviewer and just pause, so we can concentrate on the stories being told.😎✨💥
enjoyed listening , what a story lee well done .
Thanks Claire
Great format. Binge-watched the other stuff lately. Sometimes I wonder how you motivate people to speak so freely and secure about certain things.
Thanks for watching - lovely to have you aboard!
They're a fantastic team and genuine folk who I trusted from my lad Bible interview a few years back ❤
Very interessting story. Sure, some corrupt prison officers are aweful people, but I guess most are more like him. Very normal guys who made a big mistake and coudn't get the genie back in the bottle.
I think that’s probably a good summary
He told a fantastic story and painted it with an unbiased brush, this man shouldn’t be defined by his past wrong doing
Thankyou ❤
@@pablodavies414 you’re welcome man you could probably start a channel of your own you’ve got a sense of humour and a unique perspective on life
Awesome video, awesome channel! I'm surprised there aren't more views!
Thank you! We’re only three weeks old!
this is why i would never become a fed i would be corrupt
Lee sounds a good lad just made a mistake good luck to him
Cheers bud
Amazing story, not often you listen to a normal bloke and think "glad I wasn't in that hole"
People are deep FR
Super interesting interview!
Amazing story ❤
Great channel guys keep up the good work! Always thought ‘minutes with’ was the best thing to come out of ladbible
Thank you - kind of you to say!
I love this channel
Love to hear it! More coming every Saturday and Wednesday…let us know what you want to see!
What an interesting guy!
❤❤
Course it’s bloody Lancaster that had a dodgy screw 😂😂 gotta love my home town 😅
❤❤❤
I've heard this story before somewhere
Hi! The team used to run a channel called LADTV, we first interviewed Lee there 👍🏻
Ive spent 12 years in prison (on and off) and trust me its only gotten worse
Agree Danny 👍
So is this channel from Vice?
No - brand new channel of original content!
What is Lee doing now?
Became an electrician pal for years then did my bus licenses ❤ hope you are well
@@pablodavies414 Brilliant, sir. Well done to you. Thanks for sharing your story 🙂
@@pablodavies414mad respect mate, best wishes to you and yours for the future!
People being prison officers who aren’t fit for purpose. Absolutely ridiculous
Sad but true hence my admissions
Love the life stories but way too many break ins…I’m out!
GIVE US ANOTHER CHANCE
@@PEOPLEAREDEEP I really love hearing the stories…I’m sorry if I came off rude.
Yea well. So what? They have mobile Phones. Who cares
Although he wasn’t specific about it, to me it is obvious phones were just the beginning. To me is a great story from Lee and I thank him for having the courage to share this for us to hopefully do/be better 🙏
One can only assume that sniffer dogs meant he eventually started bringing drugs in for them.
