Dear People from Russia, I thank your country and culture for giving the world such amazing composers. The thumbnail is so magical, i would love to go to Russia one day. Much love from Pakistan
Katniss, sir now I know the Russians love their children as in the Sting song called Russians- their love is in their music. Loving Russia, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, the country, the people- I love Pakistan also.
Me too.I love eastern European culture.
@Erin Newton Tchaikovsky is my favorite classical music artist.
There are several bots copy pasting this (among other) comment in the comment section. I don't get it. Why??
Hi there. I am also from Pakistan. Good to know another Pakistani in love with these composers. Classical music is my favorite especially Tchaikovsky 😊😊

Thank you for this piece of Heaven!
I am not Russian so I I am not drawn to this music out of ethnic pride or sympathy. However, Russian classical music is among my absolute favorite. I might even go so far as to say that Tchaikovsky is the most consistently excellent and memorable composer I am aware of.
totally agree, dont forget about his great brother, Ritchie Blackmore
Classical music is the soundtrack of my life. I only have two ways of taking refuge from the miseries of life: music and dogs.
Few things are as accurate as the performance of a musical work by a well-conducted orchestra. Exact and coordinated movements to the millimeter that give rise to a pleasant melody that reaches directly to the soul.
Music has all kinds of effects on human beings: it makes us happy, saddens us, activates us, makes us dance, excites us ... It has accompanied the human being since its first days. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sergey Vasilievich Rachmaninoff knew it when they composed these wonders that they bequeathed to humanity. It doesn't matter if we speak Russian, German, Greek, English, Spanish, Italian, Polish, French or Hungarian, music is the universal language and we all understand it.
couldnt agree more only not all music have to be accurate or precise. i drive as much pleasure from listening to 'child in time' or 'stargazer' as from Tchaikovsky' violin concerto for example
So well said. I couldn't have said it any better, and you're right: music and dogs definitely lift the spirit.
Thank you Russia, we would be so poor without your rich culture. When I listen to russian classics, I feel like something beautiful is waking up in my soul. Thank you! (Serenade for Strings, Op. 48: I. Pezzo in forma di sonatina) - It's brilliant, I've never heard anything more magnificent. Now it's my favorite piece ❤️🇱🇻

Russian classical music is by far the most beautiful of all!!!! It literally moves the soul!!

My father gave me the love for classical music when I was about 8 or 9. While kids in the 70s were listening to the Jacksons and KC & the Sunshine Band... I was falling asleep to this! Now that I understand how much it took to create such a work... it makes Rap Music look like children's babel.
Yes indeed !
You can appreciate the beauty of classical music without denigrating the artistic worth of rap.
Its not an either-or.
@@Daniel-sc7xe Nope... rap was invented by people who can't really sing.... "artistic worth"? Noise at best. I'll give an "A" for rhyming but thats all.
@Alabama Woodsman lol you're just old and bitter the world has passed you by.
Rap is poetry, no more, no less. It's sad to see someone who thinks all the bards and poets have nothing to offer them but rhyme.

Spasibo for a wonderful education!
One day I will learn Russian and I shall come back to this comment and be able to read it
I don’t think it was feasible for Shalyapin to sing Aleko. His voice, as we all know, was a Bass, Aleko was written for Baritone. Also, according to the info from the Russian opera archives, the opera Aleko didn’t have any success, and was quickly forgotten, except a few musical pieces, such as Aleko’s and Zemphira’s arias. And that’s the reason-why Rachmaninov never made another attempt to write opera. Also Pushkin’s poem Tzigane ( Gypsies), was never popular in high society, especially after his success with Eugene Onegin.
So, I learn to take Wikipedia info critically. It’s often inaccurate.

This is gorgeous! I love listening to Rachmaninoff when writing my Soviet historical fiction novel... Tchaikovsky is a newly found inspiration as well!

Once again I have to say Thank you Halidon for a superb collection.
Such beautiful music, thank you.
MERCI MICHELE!
Love this piece. Beautiful music video. Thank you for sharing this.
Wahnsinnig tolle Zusammenstellung und alles ohne Werbung !!!
Tchaikovsky to me is the best Russian romantic composer. A lot of composers came from Russia and more will surely come but Tchaikovsky is the most Iconic to me.
“Beyond the edge of the world there’s a space where emptiness and substance neatly overlap, where past and future form a continuous, endless loop. And, hovering about, there are signs no one has ever read, chords no one has ever heard.”― Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore.
5 hours of goodness. Thanks HALIDONMUSIC

Wonderful! 😘❤️
I read somewhere the "The Seasons" were written as monthly installments for a magazine that published music for people to play on their pianos at home. The writer of that piece said that, "...the skill level of the average home pianist must have been frightfully good or perhaps the magazine was just meant to be displayed on a coffee table."

You're welcome Svetlana. Thank you for listening :)
What a gorgeous and melancholy collection! Delightful and very thought provoking...and such the inspiration needed for my Russian Civil War novel!
Glad we can be of assistance, deartotheheart! We're intrigued now - what's your novel about? 😊
@@HALIDONMUSIC The Russian Civil War..?
i'd love to read it! how's it coming along?
I had no idea there was such interest! It follows a young White Army captain and his family during the rise of Bolshevism and the exile of the survivors in the 1920s. I promise it’s more riveting than that description - hope I’ll be able to publish within the next few years! Thank you everyone for your support!
@@dear_totheheart that sounds awesome! do let us know when you've published!
Simplesmente Estupendo. A linguagem da música e universal. Vejam quantas nacionalidades diferentes apreciando e comentando a mesma música.
