Classical music is the soundtrack of my life. I only have two ways of taking refuge from the miseries of life: music and dogs.
Few things are as accurate as the performance of a musical work by a well-conducted orchestra. Exact and coordinated movements to the millimeter that give rise to a pleasant melody that reaches directly to the soul.
Music has all kinds of effects on human beings: it makes us happy, saddens us, activates us, makes us dance, excites us ... It has accompanied the human being since its first days. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sergey Vasilievich Rachmaninoff knew it when they composed these wonders that they bequeathed to humanity. It doesn't matter if we speak Russian, German, Greek, English, Spanish, Italian, Polish, French or Hungarian, music is the universal language and we all understand it.

I don’t think it was feasible for Shalyapin to sing Aleko. His voice, as we all know, was a Bass, Aleko was written for Baritone. Also, according to the info from the Russian opera archives, the opera Aleko didn’t have any success, and was quickly forgotten, except a few musical pieces, such as Aleko’s and Zemphira’s arias. And that’s the reason-why Rachmaninov never made another attempt to write opera. Also Pushkin’s poem Tzigane ( Gypsies), was never popular in high society, especially after his success with Eugene Onegin.
So, I learn to take Wikipedia info critically. It’s often inaccurate.
