- Its that time once again that i personally bring you my yearly compilation and what a year 2019 has been!
In that year we saw the returns of 7029 'Clun Castle', 45596 'Bahamas' & 61306 'Mayflower' from overhauls and also '60163 'Tornado' returning after 11 months away, as well as travelling far and wide across all corners of the country to capture these marvelous machines in action, even venturing into Wales and Scotland!
Amungst all my capturings in 2019 my personal highlights include 60009 hard at work in the south thanks to its extension of its boiler ticket
35018 returning to its native routes after 55 years
Steam making regular summer weekday outing from London Waterloo
44871 making epic turnouts on winter Thunderbird duties
30120 & 926 stealing the show at the GCR Autumn Steam Gala
As well as the above mentioned the year also saw my channel reaching 1,000 subscribers and over 1 Million channel views, of which i couldnt express enough thank yous to my loyal viewers, subscribers and the people that keep in company with me on all these adventures for making the channel as it is!

Wow some of these steam engines are very strong.
I cannot believe the guy on his phone who is overtaken by an A4 at speed and completely ignores it! Jeez, some people are brain dead with no soul.

I'm surprised so many trains are allowed to run on the mainline. Must be a thrill for the crew to be able to get them up to proper speeds on public rail network.
AT 20:00 that was the A1 Tornado and i Was on There!!! i was on Tornado on that Day.

Back when, in a book on locomotive history: "If diesels had been invented earlier, would we have ever invented steam locos?" Do we even need to ask, unless we're in love with energy waste and air pollution? (No sane person, ever.)
Very good video but the notes should show at each minutes and seconds what location was featured.
Echo comment from one below re not showing the whole train. I also like to count the cars and most importantly ascertain if there is a diesel at the rear (which to me wrecks a steam rail tour.)

if i could live anywhere in the world it would be england because there are so many steam engines i can see every day

Why do so many have a diesel loco pulling up the rear?
This bothered me too. Diesels banking the steam trains seemed to indicate the wonderful motive power of bygone days as no longer capable of doing it alone
@@geschinen actually,the diesel is there to provide breaking if the engine breaks down
The duff is there if the steamer fails. If a NR loco has to rescue the train the expense is large.

It's a shame that bastard Beeching has destroyed many scenes like this from being seen in our modern-day with his cuts, shutting less used routes down ok, but not forbidding them to be sold off in case of the need for future use as we have seen with HS2 using shutdown lines to save building costs is lack of foresight.
You set up nice for some great shots but the sound... highs crackling and no bass at all... liked the station shots...don't like fade outs before I can count all the cars.
