You guys should make a MBTI types of board games video.
The INTJ is a giveaway, but I'd like to see the other types...

In my view, introverted functions are patient while extraverted functions jump into it. So while Ni takes it time to just get that one idea, Ne jumps into ideas inmediately.

You ladies are great! I was thinking about this recently, imagining better ways to categorize the types. I wondered about the origin of an individual's cognitive preference, i theorized that maybe it had something to do with born memory capacity or sensory strength. Predictors possessing higher senses with ideators possessing stronger memory. As an intj i have always felt that i was being bombarded with sensory information more than being able to retain it. Often losing things and having difficulty maintaining the right sequence of memories. I've notice tp, fp, sj types having good memory and attention to detail I've even scene in artwork by an intp and enfp. Thanks for the rpg classes video!! I suggested that!

Love these so much, great work, Calypso. Not a lot of video content out there this packed with reliable objective (as objective in context of a theory) information. Pictures to accompany the content really helps the brain process the info quicker. Thank you!

Hey, there! Great video! I appreciate you content a lot and am always happy to be notified by a new upload! This is a new video style (right?) and it reminds be a bit of Michael Pierce‘s videos, which I absolutely love. One thing I noticed with this video is that since we can only hear you, the sound quality of the microphone steps into the foreground and is sometimes a bit hard to listen to. I might be very sensitive and also I am not a english native speaker, so that might play a role too. Just a small note on this video but the style is awesome and visually comprehensive. Thank you for the videos and keep up the good work!

Good video! The Ni predictor description was really well done. I really liked the distinction with the Pe objective perception and Pi subjective perception distinction.
The Ne felt stereotyped, and shorter too. Or I don't even understand my own Ne function as an INTP. I feel like I don't go in such random tangents with Ne, but that may be perhaps thanks to Ti selecting the more logical possibilities instead. Are Ne people really god damn random?

    • @CasualCognition
      @CasualCognition  Před 5 lety +7

INFP: Thanks! Perhaps Ti does have something to do with it. I don't find INTPs significantly less random than INFPs, though I find INxPs a lot less random than ENxPs, and occasionally even less random than ESxJs. Perhaps the Ne description felt simpler since it's extraverted. I reckon my Se description will sound more simplistic than my Si description, which will hopefully balance out the two videos :)

@@CasualCognition I totally agree with this. Ne users in the auxiliary position seem to have better control of their Ne. The ENFPs, ESTJ AND ESFJ for that matter in my life are bouncy af with their Ne. I'm a dominant Ni. Great observation!

I will agree with some of the other comments, but not just for this video, you guys whole channle does put Ni above Ne in most contrasting situations. Coming from an Ni user.

I think I followed this okay. The more I learn about MBTI, the more I know my husband has Ne pretty high in his function stack while I think, according to this video, I have "baby" Ni. 🙂 The random stuff he says can often make my day feel lighter. I was once at a lunch table with him and some others, and they were debating what the perfect waffle would be.

  • @jacopoducciocecchi8927

Well so far now I was thinking about being an ISxJ, but this video changes a lot of my perception...
It seems, sometimes, that I'm playing a chess game with my life, because I really have strong and clear images about how something will turn out in the future, so, I generally watch out in my important decisions to make a shotcalling move, while I can relate much less to the abundance of ideas and process of elimination in my thinking, like ideators do.
Do you have some specific examples about Predictor vs Ideator differences? :)
Thumbs up for the video, it was really good!

    • @CasualCognition

INFP: Are you sure it's not just that you like my Ni description more? I mean, it's possible I subconsciously like Ni more, but looking back, I still think I said a lot of good things about Ne. But then again, I think cross-contextual thinking and associations are cool. Other people might think predicting is way better.

    Really,so biased.
Ni se users: extract patterns and intuitions from concrete sensation, then create more general concept to discover truth and make predictions.
Ne si users:store biased subjective sensory impressions to contextually think of associations or perspectives.
    What?
Se is the one picking up external patterns and sends them to Ni to go deeper while Ne hardly picks up patterns and only plays out in and out Si?
Ni se can easily penetrate into the essence of the patterns to grasp what is and what could be, while Ne si can only swing inside their database coming up with endless ideas yet having no idea what the truth/trend/big picture is? Ne si only has practical uses?
What does Ne's e code even mean? Inability to internalize? How about N?Does it conceptualize just for composing reductive biased sensation?
Are you gonna say Ni se will reach higher level of abstraction、penetration and accuracy alone while Ne si can't even take reality seriously without Ti/Fi?
Come on, you guys sure can do better than this.
