I already think that Scourge's chest glows when he is using his powers, one moment we see this is in the scene where the terrorcons are arriving at the museum to get part of the transwarp key, if you Scourge's chest starts to glow, then the lights and the museum's power goes out, then Scourge appears and his chest is no longer glowing,Indicating that he used his powers, and in the final battle when Scourge sees Optimus prime he tells nightbird and battletrap not to let them get close to the transwarp key,Soon after that, Scourge's chest starts to glow once again, and soon after that a huge horde of predacons appears to help battletrap and nightbird, and all of this happened after Scourge's chest glowing!
So my theory is that Scourge's chest starts to glow when he uses his powers!
So unicron can still keep eyes on scouge even in a other dimension

Here’s my plot if Megatron was in the movie: When Megatron gets his hand on Dark Energon on Earth, he reverse engineer a weapon from the Dark Energon capable of matching the Matrix of Leadership and to prevent Unicron from completely corrupting him called the Matrix of Conquest.
Your theory is awesome. But my theory is like whenever his chest glows it just could him detecting any robots Energon or Life signal. Like if you think carefully how he knows that Apelinq is in the bushes and he managed to pin point his direct location, and how he knows that the Autobots were at the Meseum and when the Maximals and Autobots came to fight.
But what about his 2nd battle with Optimus? The one on the hill His chest wasn’t glowing.

The third explanation doesn't make sense because the portal was not opened yet it was still being constructed in the sky. Even if the portal was still open Unicron wasn't at the portal yet and was still far away.
Good theory, can you also explain why scourge's chess didn't glow when unicorn punished him?

Jetpack and blowing stuff up does not mix jetpack has oil in it that's how you use the jetpack I believe maybe I could be wrong but when you shoot it it blows up because gas and guns don't mix and it blows you up
I don't know if it is just me or ROTB felt like an insult and middle finger to Cliffjumper and Wheeljack, Wheeljack's design in the movie is so ugly and they brought Bee back to life even they had him jumped off the airplane while in most shows and movies they killed off Cliffjumper and never revived him
