    Just subscribed to your channel last week some great videos your posting mate, your float set up, do you set it to a certain depth with a stop knot? What kind of depths are we talking here?

    • @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785
      @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Dario awesome you enjoy them thanks bud 👍 yes I do use a stop knot and at St Abbs for pollack I set it around mid water which is 20ft....I use to catch cod on peeler crab on the float this I would set abput 5ft from the bottom which here is around 40ft. I must do a float fishing video soon!

    Hello from Spain,
    Very nice video. Like!
    Have you ever used soft plastics, like Marukyu Isome or Berkley Gulp, for wrasse fishing?
    Are ragworms or sandworms your favorite bait for wrasse? And for pollock?
    Thank you very much and keep it up.

      Remember and put Pollok back when fishing in Scotland so others can enjoy. A large Pollok can be over 20 years old and large areas are now being fished by commercial boats.

    very territorial fish are the wrasse so chances are you caught the same fish more than once

      Hi Dennis mines the 9ft 120g version of the MPP, it only comes out when I expext big uns though as it's a very powerful spinning rod

      @mrkuksoolwon Před 7 lety

      Yeah that's understandable lol I tried to go to the lighthouse and it was really difficult to get to that location ended up walking miles because I couldn't get a route lol thanks for that

    • @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785
      @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785  Před 7 lety +1

      You can drive up to the lighthouse David, just before st abbs village on the bend is a track that takes you to a row of cottages and a gate, pay your 3 quid if inclined and go through the gate, follow the track for a mile or so to the parking spot at the lighthouse. Must warn you though the marks are very extreme to get down to and some look impossible unless you know the way down

    • @jayswin2
      @jayswin2 Před 7 lety

      Hi mate. Just a quick question. Does your weight slide all the way down to the hook and do you just let it sit on the bottom like that? Ive never see that sort of rig before. Is it just like a running ledger but without a swivel or trace?

    • @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785
      @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785  Před 5 lety

      yes it just runs down the line to the hook no swivel or trace

  • @pauldean8638
    @pauldean8638 Před 5 lety +1

    Ha ha your as lazy a fisherman as me ,cranking on the handle an not using the rod lift ,and we wonder why we burn out gears easy ,nice fishing .think once you use the baiting needle you don't go back old school threading on bait to hooks ,slide up rag ,slide onto hook

    • @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785
      @jarrowvikingsinsaneangling9785  Před 5 lety

      Haha Paul must be a habit never noticed....I try not to lift and drop the rod though so the hook isn't pulled from the fishes mouth if the line happens to go slack....must be an old habit from my boat fishing days
