Fr, such an amazing book! But I wish they had more closure, and development betweens Jiang chengs and wei yings relationship, they were brothers. Even in the end they never really got to talk it out or understand jiang cheng assholeness on a deeply level. Also i wish the story focused more on Wei yings depression and trauma. It's not like wei ying to dismiss all the innocents just bc he simply killed. It felt weird bc he's truly an empathetic and honorable man who is selfless seems a little off. And when Wei ying was brought back to life, most of the time it seemed like he was fine aside from major points, when in reality that ptsd would have made a bigger impact on him, even in a new body. But overall this a beautifully written and dark story, themes that really pulls in my heart strings. The development of Wangxian relation and friendship was so beautiful. This will forever rest in my heart
What makes TGCF my favorite is because of how easy it was for the Xie Lian and Hua Cheng to love each other. The other two Mo Xiang books are great, but the ease these two just slot together is shown really well. Hua Cheng and Xie Lian can really be felt as soulmates.
The fact that Xie Lian had NO IDEA and decided to wholly trust Hua Cheng almost instantly, never once doubting his intentions (while EVERYONE was warning him that it's a bad idea) is so telling too. They just work perfectly, have full trust in each other 100% of the time even while disagreeing on certain topics. The line where Hua Cheng tells Xie Lian "should just do what feel right and not ask for permission" is one of my favorites to illustrate that. It truly couldn't feel more like they were meant for each other.
This! It's evident in the ox cart scene, their "first" meet up and the flow of conversation was just easy and the chemistry was just there. It's prob one of the many favorite HuaLian scenes of mine.

First, he was a Xie Lian’s follower and Xie Lian was gonna destroy the country and San Lang supported him to do anything, that would be weird if San Lang told him “human this human that” like that farmer said. Second, San Lang is the best for Xie Lian, but human is not all trash, that’s why we need a normal farmer to tell Xie Lian so. Image if it was San Lang, he would just kill all citizen to revenge for Xie Lian.
Hua cheng has got to be one of the best and most green flag man ever, I simply cannot imagine the sufferings he went through during that 800 years of patiently waiting for his highness. Spoiler; also dedicating a cave of ten thousand God's for his highness and his highness only, having unleashed 3000 lanterns for him. Willing to die for his highness, too much I can't name them all
@@mi4iku he didnt kill them he challenged 35 in a battle, among which 33 accepted and lost, they had to go back to mortal realm according to the promise but they didn't, so hua cheng burned all of their temples and people stopped worshipping them so they lost their spiritual power basically

I wanna forget the entire plot of TGCF so I can read it again and feel the intensity of the unconditional love between hualian, xie lian’s unrelenting strength and kindness, Hua Cheng’s Cocky yet incredibly honorable personality, the twists and turns that make up the epic adventure story all over again
I so agree with you. MXTX novels made me want to forget the entire plot so i can experience again that emotional rollercoaster and superb feeling i can't explain.
There’s nothing quite like finishing a MXTX novel and then relishing in the feeling of completeness and then emotionally flushing yourself down the toilet. These contradictory feelings...! I want to have never read it only to feel those innocent first-time heartbreaks again!
I *always* start ugly crying at 0:54 "I always thought I might be bad, now I'm sure that is true, 'cause I think you're so good... and I'm nothing like you" My heart ache so much, hua cheng had felt like a monster for the majority of his life due to what people see in his red eye so when he decided to end it all at the end was saved by xie lian who was just like a saint to him. Then 800 years later hua cheng became xie lian's saint. They saved each other. All the hues in their story and relationship are just so perfect, they truly invented love

I dont know why I didnt find this video until now. But seriously, MXTX's novels make me believe in true love. All her characters are so complicated. However I do think heaven's official blessing is more complicated than MDZS..Oh dont get me wrong, I love both of them bc they're different stories, characters and lovers. But she manages to portray love so beautifully. She doesnt focus on the context of homosexuality but rather just 2 people in love and it just happened to be men and I love how she does that. She's seriously one of my favourite writers
i cant agree more...among the 3 mxtx couples i find hualian the most pure, the most delicate. so full of kindness and so full of sadness. everything i read in tgcf is just beautiful and so vivid. and now that the animation is coming in 2020 i am ready for that emotional rollercoaster again
Oh my God the novel was an emotion rollercoaster. I heard there's a live action drama of this story this year but I worry they might destroy the story by choosing the wrong actors. Those two characters are complicated. Most people think Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo suit the roles because of the Untamed (MDZS) but I disagree. We need versatile, handsome and capable actors for the roles of Xie Lian and Hua Cheng.

Finished the novel 2 days ago. It's my first time watching this masterpiece. I'm drowning myself in tears again. Their story has touched my heart in a way no other story could ever do. They made feel so many emotions that I don't even know how to describe them. I'm so happy they came into my life, because of them my standards in love are higher than ever now. Okay but sometimes i think that cheng’s nickname, “crimson rain sought flower”, isnt just because of he found a flower amist the blood rain. Sometimes i imagine xie lian being that flower and cheng finding him amongst the tragedies both of them are facing. Oof idrk its just something i think of from time to time. it's one of the best animations I've ever watched. you are really talented. just looking at Xie lian's emotions at the end was so heart warming, like for real, he loves hua cheng so much that he was okay with the fact that even if it takes another 800 years for hua cheng to come back , he will still be waiting . [ but thank god it only took a year or so for hua cheng to come back for his forever beloved ]
i saw this on my recommended once. gave it a watch, adored the art, but understood nothing. having forgotten to add this to my animatic playlist, this slipped away from my mind. almost a year and a half later, i came across a manhua with an absolutely entrancing artstyle. each panel was a masterpiece. then, i learned of the novel. when i finally finished it, i suddenly remembered this animatic and came looking for it. watching it again... made my heart so full.
I watched this video at the beginning of this year I thought it was beautiful though i did not understand The art style was beautiful and I could tell it was a love story of some kind I found the show, about 2 weeks ago and though it had only 1 season I adored the storyline and started the novel I “refound” this video today and though I only finished the first book This video had me in tears it was so meaningful and beautiful it was a beautiful video

@@kyonne2694 (you're referring to the donghua, no worries) the manhua is gorgeous, so much effort goes into the rendering and such! it's actually still ongoing, and it'll resume on the 12th. you can read the manhua to help you form a mental image, then go to the novel for everything the manhua missed, and lots of other details.
Okay for anyone who's confused, This is from a Chinese Boys Love novel called "Heaven Official’s Blessing", I highly recommend it, They have this novel translated on many sites so you can just look it up :))) Also if you like this you can also check out another BL made by the same person its called "Mo Dao Zu Shi" or just MDZS, It has a live action version and an anime!

@@gentlechaos5911 Don't feel bad, I loved certain aspects of SV (it was really funny and I loved SY and seeing the positive impact he had on the other disciples, the idea of transmigration/the System etc) but overall the relationship dynamic is really uncomfortable for me compared to her two other novels and I had to quit reading it around chapter 64 or so. I don't know what exactly you disliked about it, but there's a good portion of fans of her other works that ignore it exists/can't get into it,so you're not disloyal or whatever. Not gonna like Everything she comes out with, and evidently the writing plot-wise does not wrap up as nicely as mdzs/tgcf ? But I obviously can't weigh in there, can only go off other reviews. I have read some decent fanfic for it, the characters are enjoyable

I kinda realized at the end, it says "love me, like you" (2:00 i think) and it's in white which means basically Xie Lian's words... SO my thought is that Xie Lian is saying something deeper...("i could do about anything, i could even learn how to love like you" is the whole verse) He's saying that he can try to love himself like Hua Cheng loves him-(You know, because he's insecure and feels inferior because of all the stuff that happened with his kingdom and family) So i find this really really sweet and it brought me to tears😭😭 I don't know if it's intentional or not but damn.

His servant "betrayed" him. His parents couldn't see him suffering from the situation and suicide when Xie Lian was taking a bath. Soooooo Xie Lian was in trauma and started to have vision ghost white no face (Bái Wúxiáng) . He became more grudging towards kingdom of Yong'an and wanted to destroy it ( he got so done at this point thus dressed like ghost No Face) and that's where Wú Míng (Nameless aka young Hua Cheng) came! He offer himself to be his servant and willing to do anything for Xie Lian ( that's where the scene at the timestamp came from!) . I kinda think that's where the quote came or maybe in other chapter "To die in battle for your highness , that would be my greatest glory." - Hua Cheng

So it's been 9 months since I last read Heaven Official's Blessing. I have finished reading the novel, manhua and watched the donghua. It's still the same, the pain and the love that these two have, mostly hua cheng then off to Xie Lian. Oh, how I wish that boys or men can be like hua cheng even for just a tiny bit.
honestly, the thing that got me the most was hua cheng's devotion. and, while a lot of people may just yeah its insane! the loyalty! but its more than that, being devoted to that extent, and having FAITH when in those 800 years everything was uncertain for Hua Hua, theres also vulnerability. Hua Hua was vulnerable to getting his heart crushed time and time again, but still stayed true. THATS whats most admirable

Okay, I say this all the time but I never changed my mind so here I say this again, Hualian invented love, and I couldn't agree more. They are just too pure, passionate, and devoted. They are imperfect, yes, but that's what makes them perfect for each other and complete each other. They're head over heels for each other and it's almost laughable if they weren't too passionate about it, I swear Xie Lian is just too lucky to have Hua Hua by his side and the same goes with Hua Cheng too. I would be lying if I say they didn't make me emotional and I've watched for what now? 20ish times? And it still got me off guard with my own emotions haha ^^;

*breaks into tears at how beautiful it is* TGCF is one of the most beautiful love stories I've read. I've never cried reading romance but this time, I bawled my eyes out so bad. The relationship between the characters is so goshdarn beautiful and you can't help but shed a tear. The plot is intertwined with twists and turns, past betrayals and hurts. It's not just romance. And through everything, the beauty of the story just shines through.

I hope every reading lover is able to find this novel like I did two months ago, to live the amazing experience it is to read this. Fr, such an amazing book! But I wish they had more closure, and development betweens Jiang chengs and wei yings relationship, they were brothers. Even in the end they never really got to talk it out or understand jiang cheng assholeness on a deeply level. Also i wish the story focused more on Wei yings depression and trauma. It's not like wei ying to dismiss all the innocents just bc he simply killed. It felt weird bc he's truly an empathetic and honorable man who is selfless seems a little off. And when Wei ying was brought back to life, most of the time it seemed like he was fine aside from major points, when in reality that ptsd would have made a bigger impact on him, even in a new body. But overall this a beautifully written and dark story, themes that really pulls in my heart strings. The development of Wangxian relation and friendship was so beautiful. This will forever rest in my heart

What makes TGCF my favorite is because of how easy it was for the Xie Lian and Hua Cheng to love each other. The other two Mo Xiang books are great, but the ease these two just slot together is shown really well. Hua Cheng and Xie Lian can really be felt as soulmates.
The fact that Xie Lian had NO IDEA and decided to wholly trust Hua Cheng almost instantly, never once doubting his intentions (while EVERYONE was warning him that it's a bad idea) is so telling too.
They just work perfectly, have full trust in each other 100% of the time even while disagreeing on certain topics. The line where Hua Cheng tells Xie Lian "should just do what feel right and not ask for permission" is one of my favorites to illustrate that.
It truly couldn't feel more like they were meant for each other.
This! It's evident in the ox cart scene, their "first" meet up and the flow of conversation was just easy and the chemistry was just there. It's prob one of the many favorite HuaLian scenes of mine.
Meanwhile LWJ and WWX just go through intense sexual tension for like years

First, he was a Xie Lian’s follower and Xie Lian was gonna destroy the country and San Lang supported him to do anything, that would be weird if San Lang told him “human this human that” like that farmer said. Second, San Lang is the best for Xie Lian, but human is not all trash, that’s why we need a normal farmer to tell Xie Lian so. Image if it was San Lang, he would just kill all citizen to revenge for Xie Lian.

My heart ache so much, hua cheng had felt like a monster for the majority of his life due to what people see in his red eye so when he decided to end it all at the end was saved by xie lian who was just like a saint to him.
Then 800 years later hua cheng became xie lian's saint. They saved each other.

I dont know why I didnt find this video until now. But seriously, MXTX's novels make me believe in true love. All her characters are so complicated. However I do think heaven's official blessing is more complicated than MDZS..Oh dont get me wrong, I love both of them bc they're different stories, characters and lovers. But she manages to portray love so beautifully. She doesnt focus on the context of homosexuality but rather just 2 people in love and it just happened to be men and I love how she does that. She's seriously one of my favourite writers

Oh my God the novel was an emotion rollercoaster. I heard there's a live action drama of this story this year but I worry they might destroy the story by choosing the wrong actors. Those two characters are complicated. Most people think Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo suit the roles because of the Untamed (MDZS) but I disagree. We need versatile, handsome and capable actors for the roles of Xie Lian and Hua Cheng.

it's one of the best animations I've ever watched. you are really talented. just looking at Xie lian's emotions at the end was so heart warming, like for real, he loves hua cheng so much that he was okay with the fact that even if it takes another 800 years for hua cheng to come back , he will still be waiting . [ but thank god it only took a year or so for hua cheng to come back for his forever beloved ]

@@kyonne2694 (you're referring to the donghua, no worries) the manhua is gorgeous, so much effort goes into the rendering and such! it's actually still ongoing, and it'll resume on the 12th. you can read the manhua to help you form a mental image, then go to the novel for everything the manhua missed, and lots of other details.
Okay for anyone who's confused, This is from a Chinese Boys Love novel called "Heaven Official’s Blessing", I highly recommend it, They have this novel translated on many sites so you can just look it up :))) Also if you like this you can also check out another BL made by the same person its called "Mo Dao Zu Shi" or just MDZS, It has a live action version and an anime!

@@gentlechaos5911 Don't feel bad, I loved certain aspects of SV (it was really funny and I loved SY and seeing the positive impact he had on the other disciples, the idea of transmigration/the System etc) but overall the relationship dynamic is really uncomfortable for me compared to her two other novels and I had to quit reading it around chapter 64 or so. I don't know what exactly you disliked about it, but there's a good portion of fans of her other works that ignore it exists/can't get into it,so you're not disloyal or whatever. Not gonna like Everything she comes out with, and evidently the writing plot-wise does not wrap up as nicely as mdzs/tgcf ? But I obviously can't weigh in there, can only go off other reviews.

I kinda realized at the end, it says "love me, like you" (2:00 i think) and it's in white which means basically Xie Lian's words... SO my thought is that Xie Lian is saying something deeper...("i could do about anything, i could even learn how to love like you" is the whole verse)
He's saying that he can try to love himself like Hua Cheng loves him-(You know, because he's insecure and feels inferior because of all the stuff that happened with his kingdom and family)

@@huachengxieliantgcf oh I don't really remember what chapter but I do know why he's like that, Xie Lian's Kingdom got infected by a deadly disease. So , Xie Lian and his family went poor. His servant "betrayed" him. His parents couldn't see him suffering from the situation and suicide when Xie Lian was taking a bath. Soooooo Xie Lian was in trauma and started to have vision ghost white no face (Bái Wúxiáng) . He became more grudging towards kingdom of Yong'an and wanted to destroy it ( he got so done at this point thus dressed like ghost No Face) and that's where Wú Míng (Nameless aka young Hua Cheng) came! He offer himself to be his servant and willing to do anything for Xie Lian ( that's where the scene at the timestamp came from!) . I kinda think that's where the quote came or maybe in other chapter
"To die in battle for your highness , that would be my greatest glory." - Hua Cheng

So it's been 9 months since I last read Heaven Official's Blessing. I have finished reading the novel, manhua and watched the donghua. It's still the same, the pain and the love that these two have, mostly hua cheng then off to Xie Lian. Oh, how I wish that boys or men can be like hua cheng even for just a tiny bit.
But, anyways Hua Lian taught us how to love unconditionally. I think that's beautiful.

honestly, the thing that got me the most was hua cheng's devotion. and, while a lot of people may just yeah its insane! the loyalty! but its more than that, being devoted to that extent, and having FAITH when in those 800 years everything was uncertain for Hua Hua, theres also vulnerability. Hua Hua was vulnerable to getting his heart crushed time and time again, but still stayed true. THATS whats most admirable

Okay, I say this all the time but I never changed my mind so here I say this again, Hualian invented love, and I couldn't agree more. They are just too pure, passionate, and devoted. They are imperfect, yes, but that's what makes them perfect for each other and complete each other. They're head over heels for each other and it's almost laughable if they weren't too passionate about it, I swear Xie Lian is just too lucky to have Hua Hua by his side and the same goes with Hua Cheng too. I would be lying if I say they didn't make me emotional and I've watched for what now? 20ish times? And it still got me off guard with my own emotions haha ^^;

He did die in thier last fight. But of course he's not human so after, I think, years 🤔, he comes back, you know, resurrection 😅. All these time xie Lan waits for him 😊. That part is a wonderful scene. And they live together in that small house. Of course, they renovate it, although it's too colourful and bright 😂😂 (those ghosts help so 😂😂).

TGCF is one of the most beautiful love stories I've read. I've never cried reading romance but this time, I bawled my eyes out so bad. The relationship between the characters is so goshdarn beautiful and you can't help but shed a tear. The plot is intertwined with twists and turns, past betrayals and hurts. It's not just romance. And through everything, the beauty of the story just shines through.
I just burst into tears like a little girl, it was too cute..

I just want you to know that I've been watching this video EVERY . SINGLE . DAY for a whole month, because it was literally thanks to it that I decided to read the book in the first place, and rewatching this gives me all the feels
I haven’t read the story, so watching this video brought me lotta confusion haha, first I thought they were both women in love, then I thought they were a man and a woman in love, and then I finally realized that those are both men in love! (I hope I’m not wrong by reading the comments)

I just finished reading the full novel at 7am, after a whole month of reading nonstop. I don’t know how to explain it, but this entire novel attacked my heart and mind in a way I’ll never forget, will forever be my favorite. I’m almost shocked it’s over, like, what more is there after such masterpiece as this one? I’m dumbfounded, truly. I hope every reading lover is able to find this novel like I did two months ago, to live the amazing experience it is to read this.

I remember seeing this in 2020 which got me to read the novel. At that time I didn't understand what the scenes in this video meant and who the characters were (except for Xie lian and Hua cheng).
