- The 'Our Yorkshire Farm' family all work together on the farm and all pitch in, even at Christmas. The nine children are full of Christmas spirit, but there has been a big snowstorm that is making things a little more problematic. The large family celebrate the holidays together, whilst looking after all of the animals and maintaining the farm. All of it together and keeping half in the freezer for NYDay!
In new zealand christamas lunch is in the middle of summer so we have salads and cold dishes. My favorite part of lunch is the pavalova covered in whipped cream 😊

It would have been much better if they had 2/3 kids at max.
Bcos now this farm will be divided in 9 parts. And when these 9 kids will have kids the land will not be able to sustain them.
A loving parent always plans for their kids' future , and this sure doesn't look like one.
@@shubhamsingh-nl4fu They are tenants, they don't own the farm. This is why they have bought other properties nearby for their future.
Did no one want to mention how fabulous mum looks on 9 kids?
She used to be a model I've heard her say.

@@emmylou4522 actualy after graduation she moved to farm and met her husband. Its been shown in one of the episodes
Her mom was a model, she chose to be a shepherd.

What a brilliant program and family this is. No phone no iPads and they are the happiest kids on the planet. They are learning different things every day and not afraid to try anything and out in all weathers. What brilliant parents Clive and Amanda are, they should be very proud of their family. Look forward to the follow up program.

This is just how Christmas should be, what exceptional parents these two are. They are right their children do not need hundreds of presents, look how happy they are. What a wonderful life, it’s hard work yes, but they are truly happy and content. Amanda and Clive you should be extremely proud of yourselves and your wonderful family, well done for teaching your children how to really live life to the full.
Those children wil grow up with a great immune system, bless them 😊

I love watching these series. I love how grounded the children are, and the love showed by the parents ( plus common sense!) is so clear. I'm from Malaysia. Glad that I came across this series.
I don't think this family is extraordinary, other than its size. This series shows the right way to raise your children - taking responsibility to care for them, constantly involve them in what is going on and teach them skills that are going to benefit them throughout their lives and future work. This can be done in any family situation. You don't have to live on a farm and children don't only learn at school. I love this series.
Yes you are correct in this is the way children should be brought up but unfortunately parents today either can’t be bothered or they are mollycoddling their children it seems to be too much bother to learn your children to behave or take part in chores around the house some are appalled at the idea of children having chores and they are doing their children a disservice when they eventually go out into the world

They should write a book about their meeting and the rest of it.. Living in a 200 acres farm with 9 children n counting? And a thousand sheeps plus others...

Self sufficient Farming is the way to go 🙌🏼 peaceful and effective way to survive.
A lot of people buy so much things never get played with. Take my hat off to your family
People that do that, its more about the adults and them feeling like they have to prove themselves to others, not really thinking about the kids

The older kids bring up the younger kids
The older kids raise the younger and endulge the parents lack of planning and self control. The business will never sustain them all as adults but it is all they will know. I came from this as the eldest, and love my siblings as I do, it is not right. Ad to this that the planet does not need any more people, at best we have a responsibility to only replace ourselves where possible.
They involve their children in everything that's going on so that they take responsibility and learn. This is a loving family and very caring and skilled parents.

Child survival rates now negate the need for large families, which was the primary driver behind the traditional practice the world over not just in England. THE WORLDS POPULATION HAS DOUBLED SINCE 1973. (Not shouting but it is important to understand that the world is a very different place and traditions of the past even quite recent ones are inappropriate if we as a species are to sustain our presence in the universe.)

I love this family! I've often watched their TV programme. Mum and dad are raising their children so well. The children are so well behaved together. I especially like watching the older children becoming more interested in other things. (Rueben and his ''mechanicing''!!) They are very brave and seem to enjoy their lives up in the hills. Although I love living in the countryside, I could not live in the Yorkshire hills. The snow and ice would put paid to me!

It's only how a lot of our great Grandmother's lived...rural or townie, mainly due to church attitude to contraception. That said, I think their way of life is great and I wish I'd had more kids.
