That's not at true because it could be some other driver that end his run if they end up in a crash. A Dodger Charger can keep up but it's to dangerous and he will crash one of these days and most likely end up dead driving that fast.

100% true. Not only an extra 150 HP and 100 FT/LBS-TQ, but literally half the weight, and probably 5 times more aerodynamic. Tahoes are great don’t get me wrong, but they’re very limited, in terms of performance, obviously. They’re 5,500 lb. bricks on wheels with like 330 HP and 360 TQ

I am not sure, but I would assume that the officer would have to identify the driver which he could not in this case. The owner could say that someone stole his car. If I were the owner, as soon as I got home I would report the Vette stolen and then hide it for a couple of days.

In real life your eye can see further than watching watching compressed grainy footage uploaded to CZcams. So even we can't see the car in the video, the officer can probably still see a dot on the horizon.

I noticed that too. Ours in Louisiana are the same way, they're always going after people just because the car looks "interesting" and using bogus excuses (like "no license plate" when the car has a clearly visible temp tag in the back glass) to make the traffic stop. There's been a lot of pursuits in our state too that started with bogus/illegal traffic stops like that.
Any Vette C5 or newer is too fast for any cop to chase. The C 5 alone tops out around 170 stock. It would have been better to go find a 'Hot' sign at the Krispy Kreme
Crazy how fast the Corvette goes from 0 to 150mph , the trooper was doing like 124mph at one point but did not want to go any quicker for public safety reasons and still could not get in sight of that Corvette , I think the top speed of the new Vette is like 210mph so yeah helicopter the only way your keeping that in sight man.
Most of these videos are of Dodge Challengers or Chargers that run. They are fast, but do not have the handling and braking to match and as a result, some get caught. This was a Corvette Z06, that is not a muscle car, rather borderline track car. The officer(s) had very little chance of catching unless there was heavy traffic.

They once pitted a woman traveling with her kids and flipped her SUV. The officer even pulled alongside of her, and she didn't stop. If I remember correctly, she even passed up an extremely well lit gas station but claimed she didn't feel "safe" with all the blue and red police lights literally driving right on side of her to try and get her to pull over. She was 100% in the wrong.

Turns the traction control back on to performance and hits the gas. 0-60 in under 3 seconds and quarter mile in 10 at 130MPH. That's not modded either! Any mods and we're talking 1000HP plus and 200MPH+. Sorry cops, just go grab your coffee and donuts and move on. Really nice car.
I've run city police, sheriff and highway patrol and have never been caught...The key is to get off the street you're being chased on the moment you're out of their line of sight....I speak from experience when I say there is nothing like the adrenaline rush once you've gotten away...nothing.

So corvette looks like it’s getting passed by a pickup with that “you shall not pass me” syndrome, cop singles vette out, does 100 without emergency lights/sirens. Glad to see the vette got away. And dang, looks like where I live, not one person but the FedEx gets out of the left lane. There’s only a select few officers in my area I respect, and actually treat people with dignity. It’s pretty bad when you have to argue the speed limit with the cop, who’s wrong, with a sign 1/4 mile behind us, and you have to go to court for the judge to say the officer is wrong.
This is a case where the cop should have let him go. They had the description and the plate and eventually they probably picked him up somewhere down the highway. But that cop running 120 on a surface street was just flat out terrifying to witness. He hits somebody or the suspect hits somebody and likely everybody in that wreck is either crippled or dead.
Here in the State of Washington police pursuits like this one for a traffic infraction are not allowed by law. In fact, the only case that a LEO is allowed to pursue is when it's a violent offense and that offense was witnessed by THAT LEO.
That's a great law. Chasing people at over 100 mph in traffic is a danger to innocent people. But cops always find ways to circumvent the law, so they're probably still chasing people for traffic tickets. Police do whatever they want with no accountability.
Dont see the vette chases often same as most motorcycle chases. Because they are over in such a short time period. 😅 Watching the Corvette disappear like that so quickly was nice to watch, shows ya how much faster they are than the chargers and stuff that we always see fleeing in 20min chases. Glad to see an accident free ending. Lot of the times it doesn’t end well especially when the runner is driving over triple digits on local roads. Too many intersections and side streets to be traveling that fast. Not the best of choices.
This video is a good reminder guys that a cop can break the law and go 100 mph to catch up to a car that is not even going over the speed limit (0:25) just because it “looks fast”, yet if you go 3 mph over the speed limit they will ticket you $250 and double your insurance rates for the next 3-5 years 😃👍

I noticed that too. Ours in Louisiana are the same way, they're always going after people just because the car looks "interesting" and using bogus excuses (like "no license plate" when the car has a clearly visible temp tag in the back glass) to make the traffic stop. There's been a lot of pursuits in our state too that started with bogus/illegal traffic stops like that.

Crazy how fast the Corvette goes from 0 to 150mph , the trooper was doing like 124mph at one point but did not want to go any quicker for public safety reasons and still could not get in sight of that Corvette , I think the top speed of the new Vette is like 210mph so yeah helicopter the only way your keeping that in sight man.

Most of these videos are of Dodge Challengers or Chargers that run. They are fast, but do not have the handling and braking to match and as a result, some get caught. This was a Corvette Z06, that is not a muscle car, rather borderline track car. The officer(s) had very little chance of catching unless there was heavy traffic.

Nice to see the Vette get away. I had one cop in Oregon follow me for about 20 miles one night on a 2 lane road and nd finally pull me over and telling me that I crossed the center line which I knew I didn’t. I owned the car for 16 years and I knew how to drive in different road conditions.

Its because it's Arkansas, they are notorious highway pirates, especially if you have out of state plates. You could be keeping up with traffic and they will single you out, because out of state people are a lot less likely to challenge a ticket. Most of the police chases you see are in Arkansas, amd most of the videos where a cop does an unnecessary pit maneuver is in Arkansas. They once pitted a woman traveling with her kids and flipped her SUV. She was being pulled over she slowed down, moved over to the right lane and turned on her blinkers, there was no shoulder to pull over so she kept driving searching for a safe place to stop, amd they pitted her for "fleeing" after she slowed amd activated her blinkers to acknowledge the officer.

You are incorrect, sir. I saw that same video, and she had plenty of opportunities to pull over and refused. She then claimed afterward that she was looking for a safe spot to "pull over." The officer even pulled alongside of her, and she didn't stop. If I remember correctly, she even passed up an extremely well lit gas station but claimed she didn't feel "safe" with all the blue and red police lights literally driving right on side of her to try and get her to pull over. She was 100% in the wrong.

I've run city police, sheriff and highway patrol and have never been caught...The key is to get off the street you're being chased on the moment you're out of their line of sight....I speak from experience when I say there is nothing like the adrenaline rush once you've gotten away...nothing.

So corvette looks like it’s getting passed by a pickup with that “you shall not pass me” syndrome, cop singles vette out, does 100 without emergency lights/sirens. Glad to see the vette got away. And dang, looks like where I live, not one person but the FedEx gets out of the left lane. There’s only a select few officers in my area I respect, and actually treat people with dignity. It’s pretty bad when you have to argue the speed limit with the cop, who’s wrong, with a sign 1/4 mile behind us, and you have to go to court for the judge to say the officer is wrong.
This is a case where the cop should have let him go. They had the description and the plate and eventually they probably picked him up somewhere down the highway. But that cop running 120 on a surface street was just flat out terrifying to witness. He hits somebody or the suspect hits somebody and likely everybody in that wreck is either crippled or dead.

Here in the State of Washington police pursuits like this one for a traffic infraction are not allowed by law.
In fact, the only case that a LEO is allowed to pursue is when it's a violent offense and that offense was witnessed by THAT LEO.
That's a great law. Chasing people at over 100 mph in traffic is a danger to innocent people. But cops always find ways to circumvent the law, so they're probably still chasing people for traffic tickets. Police do whatever they want with no accountability.

Glad to see an accident free ending. Lot of the times it doesn’t end well especially when the runner is driving over triple digits on local roads. Too many intersections and side streets to be traveling that fast. Not the best of choices.
