My wife Birdy was a trucker for many years in the '80s before I knew her. She was very much about "whatever ya gotta do to get on the road." She was a star of the truck rodeos because she worked so hard to do what the others couldn't. She was a wonder at backing a rig.
It came in handy when the guy a the weigh station guided her forward onto the scale and then said "Oops! Too far!" as they often did to get you to have to pay a fine for running the scales when you had to pull on forward and come around again, because nobody could back a tandem load. My Birdy could. And did!
She usually drove in the part of the country west of your route this time.
Your joy, enthusiasm, attitude and smile sure are extremely contaigeous to this industry and community! More young blood should follow your lead. Keep rolling safely out there and keep being amazing!

My wife and I are now new team drivers gaining experience at a mega carrier and working on our endorsements. We're always hoping to see you on the road out there.
We hauled a relay load to a FedEx terminal the other day and were really impressed with their organization and how positive their employees were.
We decided today that our new goal will be to drive Team OTR for FedEx like you!

I’m glad to know ATS is that accurate. I was wondering. I’ve gotten so addicted to that game, it’s all I want to do when I’m at home. It’s because I have a passion for road trips and travel. My young son and I have always dreamed of traveling the country but I can’t afford to do it so I do it virtually. Knowing that I’m seeing what the country looks like pretty close to reality is comforting. Thanks for showing that.
Yes, I have thought about trucking so I can get paid to see the country. My son wants to go with me and home school in the truck. However I don’t think I want to live on the road 28 days a month, much less be locked in a metal box with him that long. I’m also not sure I want to maneuver something that big and unwieldy. But I haven’t ruled out doing it for a while to see the country and get out of debt and get back on my feet financially.
With that in my mind I suggest a giveaway of a steering wheel set up like you have. Also, you should do a community convoy and drive trucks online with your subscribers. You have so many followers you’d probably have to have a waiting list. But there are a couple ways of doing it. Maybe that can be a giveaway too: the opportunity to drive in your convoy. I’m sure this has been suggested but let me be another vote for it.
I just thought of a crazy idea. Maybe give away the chance to go on a drive with you. You of course want to do a background check and all that but your dog will eat anyone who tried anything. And you would probably want to talk to people and get a feel for them before making that offer. But it’s a thought. You love kids, I think you said you were gonna work with special needs kids. That’s a way to do something for them.

This is one reason I want to do some videos, I go to Canada and Alaska sometimes, it's beautiful, but can be very bad depending on what time of year. I like the road flare idea and anything road side helpful. Speaking from a non 18 wheeler perspective (battery starters, portable air compressors, tire gauges, floor jack(let's say my tiny SUV jack isn't big enough to pick my car off the road), etc.).
