Me too. I'm not sure most people comprehend the enormity of his talent. Critics seem to dwell on his vibrato and boyish looks, but his vocal power and range are unparalleled. If he had pursued opera instead of jazz and pop, he would have been just as prominent, but we, as fans, would have missed so much!

Oh my greatness, Johnny is the best. I just watched his concert last April. The guy is spectacular, sold out concert. His fans and myself of course love this living legend. His posture, is still the same as when he was young, the voice is still silky, melodic. Oh I love that mouth.
I had to laugh when you said you love his mouth! I feel exactly the same! What a beautiful mouth it is! LOL,!
And what comes out of that beautiful mouth is out of this world! He’s not really human! He’s actually an ANGEL who decided to come down from heaven to bring us joy!

I'd been fooled before but not the night 53 years ago when our "eager lips combined". We never parted. Johnny has been on this most wonderful journey with us. His songs and performances have enriched our lives. He performed My Foolish Heart this past summer with the Pittsburgh Symphony. It all came rushing back.

Oh I love this song.! He sings it a few keys lower than years ago..but who's complaining? It's just beautiful. If you listen closely to the original "small world" he sings it with a smile -which is something we learn in classical vocal training to get a crisp sound... Love it! Thank you so very much.

Having seen him in concert 17 times, first time in 1960 at the Geary Street Theater, never once did he sing "Small World", one of the finest recordings he ever made and a much more difficult song to sing than he makes it appear.
With his spectacular voice, Mr. Mathis could sing the alphabet and it would sound heavenly, romantic, and sexy. ❤
It was around the time of this concert that I first saw Johnny in concert and have been attending concerts ever since!!! Oh my. Such a beautiful voice and beautiful man ❤

SO, IT SEEMS THAT THAT ENERGY VIBRATION, THAT FREQUENCY THAT IS GAY IS A VERY SPECIAL FREQUENCY THAT IS NOT AN ABBERATION BUT A GIFT. I SALUTE THESE GREAT MEN FOR THEIR BRILLUANT TALENT. Such an enjoyable voice! But so sad that he is a victim of the adversary. My highest hope and intersection for the Lord our Savior to rescue him before he depart from life. The ones who believes the word know that once there was a cherub in charge of music and when God cast him out of heaven, was cast out with the power that he still use . Strategicly used to fool and confuse souls. We live in a physical body, but the spiritual life is attach to every human being. When our carnal eyes be closed for ever our spiritual eyes will remain open and so much will be reveal. Turning to God is the Salvation! Repentance, acceptance, will lead us to eternity. To paradise, something cannot be compare with what anyone have here on earth. Good deeds are filthy rags to God. Don’t be fool by the adversary. With all my soul to you. Amen!

I find Small World to be a very easy song to sing, and I certainly don't claim to be as good a singer as Mathis.
Johnny makes everything look n sound easy!He makes the bridge sound soo smooth n effortless!
