Elijah wood did a great job voicing spyro, love how he gets uncharacteristically cocky when he gets infused with dark power
What do you mean? The only lines Dark Spyro has in this game are a couple of generic voice clips for when you get sucked up by Gaul's tornado move, voice clips that are used at other points in both this game and A New Beginning.
I wish he said "Get away, bug, I've got some apes to kill" like in the GBA version

It's pretty hair raising how accurate the lyrics are when Spyro got corrupted and uses dark powers to kill Gaul...

@pszemeg_double-u Maybe we can help each other figure out the lyrics for Cynder Boss, or any of the three Cynder songs? Some words I am hearing: Dominus/Omnibus, Parce meo, Ut cedant cipus. I'm probably wrong, but I'm trying. I asked Rebecca Kneubuhl if she had the lyrics for any of the three Cynder songs, but the lyrics are lost. I also asked about a particular bit of Ovid that I tracked down, but she said that to her memory she didn't use that one.
Everyone gives The Eternal Night a lot of hate, and yes the gameplay is just the exact same as the first one, only with a few new moves and animations; however, it's the story and musical score that are the best parts about it. I love The Eternal Night, for those two reasons.

The music of these games is just top tier. I always find myself going back and listening to them.
Eh, story was borderline okay for me. Would have liked it a lot better if we got to experience Cynder's journey and not focus so much on Spyro relearning his powers one at a time. But I do agree that the soundtrack was this game's highest point!

This sounds a bit like Cynder's theme, almost; but more epic and militaristic. I like it.
Swap out the choir and this is the catacombs fight theme from the dawn of the dragon
In fact ,in dotd they use the the " inspiration "," prototype " version of that ost.
Typically, they use synthe vocals in the roughs to know how it would sound once the lyrics are inserted afterward.
