- In episode 8 of Collect Call, Suge reflects on how his instinct to be loyal led to him making decisions that he now understands were stupid. He covers situations with Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre and others where he let his loyalty dictate his actions. Suge talks about how he never fit in with the music industry and some of the secret things that go on behind the scenes, sharing a new perspective on the recent allegations surrounding Sean “Puffy” Combs. He explains why Tupac performed “California Love” without Dr. Dre on Saturday Night Live on February 17, 1996, due to a shocking revelation made by Dr. Dre to Suge and Tupac just a few days prior. Suge and Dave talk about how someone has hacked Suge’s Twitter and Facebook accounts and has been illegally posting a lot of false and inflammatory content.

I know he did his dirt but I’m a mama and he loved mama. He looked out for the family and he didn’t play about his people. When you’re the boss you have to do the hard work. Suge Knight was the boogie man in the 90s and Dre used Suge Knight to get away from EazyE and after 2pac came into the picture and DeathRow was at the top of the game. Jealous came into play Dre left and use Jimmy at interscolp records to get away from Suge. After 2pac died and everyone said Suge Knight set it up his name was bad for business Suge Knight got locked up everyone turned their back on him. After that everyone distanced themselves from Suge Knight and Suge never got a second chance to do business because Suge had a bad history connected to his name and Suge Knight also played his own self by talking about EazyE death on the late night show. After that interview it was really over for him regardless of all the good things he had done for others. The rap game black ball him.
I always respect how Suge Knight came from the mudd and made a name for his self regardless of everything.
On point. When Suge got out of Prison around 2000/2001, he should've just focused on other business ventures besides music since he still had some money, even though his networth drastically dropped. He really made things hard for himself by still trying to stay relevant in the music business at that time, the cards were dealt against him & that's the main reason why Tha Row never took off. Nonetheless, his contribution to the music industry is unmatched & that's history that can never be re-written.

Growing up with both parents makes a great difference but the real issue is being taught in school how to write checks instead of how to invest and just because you have both parents around doesn't mean that they're good parents. No ones life is the same we all have different "rules" to abide by.
