(As Steven remarked on technological advancement) People in ancient Egypt who could build pyramids, transport huge blocks, etc were far more intelligent and advanced than us--although they did not give a shit about proving to themselves they are advancing or simply lacked the necessity for advancement at those times. The writer Colin Wilson (now dead) had written that modern people had become slaves to the left brain (or thinking-mind) and had lost connection with the right brain which was supposedly the receiver of intelligence, spontaneity, inspiration, creativity, etc., and that ancient people were operating in a more collective intelligence kind of way. All we could do is recycle the old and re-present them as new.
