Thank you to the interviewee for sharing her experience. I really hope she is able to thrive and have a hopeful future without the effects of her husband's addiction pulling her down. I also hope her family becomes enlightened on how destructive it can be to stay in a relationship like that, and that they become supportive in every way possible. Hoping for all good things for her and her daughter!

My ex husband never recognized he had an alcoholic addiction. Always was the " stomach virus" or his diabetes playing tricks on him.
I got tired of that! Got tired of the doctors telling me: " Is up to him to quit, we (doctors) cannot do anything." I got tired of seeing my child suffering and getting traumatized.
Still now that we are not living together, he still drinks!
His mother's tears begging him to stop drinking didn't help!
I am glad my son and I moved on!
Now I have my child in therapy and I am in therapy, too.
I am glad some men get through the addiction, but some don't.
