Is it weird to say that I am proud of him? that AGUST D is the only name in the credits. Did it all by himself.

It's not the end for Agust D, he said that whenever he needs to say more, Agust D will come back. Sort of like an alter ego that gives him a voice to express his inner self, doubts, fears, etc. This album for me doesn't have a single 'meh' song on it.

Haegeum is a song about unlocking our new potentials, freeing something previously forbidden. The word “Haegeum” has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that has a very peculiar sound, but this is not the authentic meaning Agust D/Suga intended originally.
Haegeum” means “allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden.” Here is how he explained it in an interview:
The word “Haegeum” came to me when I was young. I played rhythm games, I loved rhythm action games. When beating a certain stage, you’d unlock a forbidden song, then you could play a new rhythm. It was a “freedom from the forbidden.” Why don’t I try and break free from those things?
This is explicitly confirmed by the English translation of the lyrics in Haegeum:

BTW, Thai ARMYs were thrilled when SUGA/Agust D came to Thailand on 'personal' visit a couple months ago and now we know why! A fellow ARMY said she's kicking herself right now because she saw from across the street that someone's crew was filming. Had she crossed the street she might have a glimpse of her and her daughter's bias! Anyway, many of us said they are having rice noodle in that rooster-painted bowl today! 😁

Suga said in the countdown video for the release of this music video that when the music video for AMYGDALA comes out on April 25th he recommends that you watch Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala in one sitting as it tells one complete story. Amygdala will explain the reason behind the scar.
Yes, I think he wisely references Daechwita because he's aware that he's dealing with a version of the same struggle/inner demon, but as you said, he's got a different perspective on it now cuz he's matured and lived more. I feel like USUALLY, there are things in our lives that we deal with, and we might deal with them at some point and "defeat" that inner demon, but many times they come back around in some form or another, and in this case, Agust D is dealing with that same inner struggle from before....But his current self is even MORE forceful and ready to deal with it, and does so gleefully and aggressively. At the end, when he's in the cop car and goes to the restaurant, he's got the suit coat (and maybe the pants) of the Detective Yoongi he killed, got that Detective Yoongi's cops giving him a ride in a cop car, going where he says go, and then he sits down and eats with the same chopsticks that he used to start the whole process of luring the Detective Yoongi to him (and also the same chopsticks that killed the thing he hates are the ones he needs to sustain his own life by eating) ...... he's taken the good useful things from the Detective Yoongi. i.e, incorporated what good he could learn from this struggle into his life, and destroyed the bad things.

The live performance is the best
I noticed on a rewatch that the crimnal is representing SUGA and the agent is in essence the dark-haired Agust D who killed the corrupt king, Blonde Agust D, in dwaechita. So with the Person of SUGA killing Agust D it quite literally is Agust D's death in his album storyline.

So Haegeum means allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden. His whole album is overflowing with his emotions, and not only does he talk to himself in his album, he talks directly to the listener (especially with one particular song, where it almost feels like he breaks the 'fourth wall'. I've experienced it via a movie before, but never by song, until now) there are ARMY translator accounts on Twitter, so if you want to listen to his album on Spotify or Apple music etc, you can have the lyrics pulled up to help you understand what he is expressing 💜

I think he's an "undercover cop" because in the last scene, he's not under arrest for murder, he just gets out of the back of the police car like he's getting out of a taxi. Suga eating Raman...he has his life back.

Regarding lyrics- Just saw an interesting video from a Korean channel and he was saying in Eastern philosophy and thought there is “freedom” and “bangjong”. He felt it may be causing confusion by some in the west. He says that freedom in Korean is something you can do as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else. Bangjong is acting freely in a reckless way that can harm others. AgustD is talking about a freedom that doesn’t harm anyone else. (I do not speak Korean but after checking out other translations it seems correct.)
This song and the mv had me in a chokehold. Not only did Yoongi's acting get MUCH better (and he was already literally a pro), but the entire cinematography backs it up. The song is a banger, no doubt. HAEGEUM is a traditional instrument, but it also means release from prohibition. The mv is so fascinating. In Daechwita, he killed the blond Agust D because he was too corrupt with anger and resentment. Agust D couldn't take it anymore. But in Haegeum the Agust D scar ended up as corrupted as the blonde Agust D. It's interesting that the new Agust D basically started the mv by killing a person and ending with the memory of it. Agust D is a trilogy because Yoongi was finally able to unite with Suga and Agust D. They are no longer apart because he learned to embrace all of his feelings. In this MV, the new Agust D. is a vigilante and violent villain because that's what Agust D is. But instead of just killing the scarred Agust D, who in this narrative, is a corrupt secret agent, (as happened to the blonde Agust D), he ALSO burned the money scar that Agust D had. My interpretation is that this whole mv revolves around FREE SPEECH, which may not be correct. 🤣. Finally, cheers to SUGA for yet another unique work of art.👏❤

I feel like its a continuation of Deachwita. The previous August D killed the August D that was a mad king and he took his place as the king here as a mob boss.
