Oh, how I remember them playing this on their The Crossing tour, they were simply a force that captured you and didn't let go till they left the stage. Thank you, Stuart, Thank you lads Peace, from Texas
I am a 72 year old bi-polar rock & roller. I'VE OWNED & OPERATED 3 INDEPENDANT RECORD STORES. Only 3 artists ever made me weep: Kate Bush, Joy Division and Big Country. LONG MAY THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That voice, that face, that hair. Stuart Adamson was as close to a literal flaming carrot gifted with poetry that a human could be. Big Country; "Sons of men who stand like Gods..."
Just shows the type of guy stuart was such a smooth switch of guitars miss you stu i am never getting rid of ur music or the dvds i got its all i have to remember you and the 80s music never forget👍
Out of the three leaders of the three Steve Lily-white produced bands U2 Simple minds and Big Country,Stuart had more all round talent than Bono or Jim Kerr,in that he wrote, sang and played lead guitar, and to a top level as well.Grossly under rated and disrespected by music snobs imo, shame in them.
Usually too up themselves to thank a lowly tech.Stuart never forgot his auld arse tho,as we say here in Scotland.Came from a mining village in Fife, poncey behaviour not tolerated lol.
Noooooooooooo! Those feckin keyboards! They ruin my favourite BC song! The guitars are what made them BC. OK, and Stuart's amazing voice and lyrics. Still love ye Big Man ❤

The most underrated band of my time .such a tragic loss
Craig Gibson Hardly underrated. Well known and respected by their legions of fans.
Underrated by who, exactly? Certainly not by people who like good music

Stay alive - Stuart you were such a genius RIP
Guitar work at it's finest. No, all composition at it's finest... Such I good meld of a band.

Just as any true artist is a genius, Stuart Adamson was indeed a genius. Big Country was is and always be great. "Long Live Rock" ~ Pete Townsend
One of their best & one of my favourites. No such music anymore.
Sad but true... all garbage
This song makes me weep ...so beautiful
Stuart's energy🧐FEARLESS🙌🏻
This is on another level of epicness!!
Bruce's Hair in this era is beautiful and yes this live version is fantastic
He looks like Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice in this video lol. Still talented though.
Ah Stuart...why'd ya leave us? Everything ya did was so bloody brilliant.
BEST VERSION!
All version`s are fantastic ..... till today
Night hangs on the city
Like a blanket on a cage,
A sacrifice prepared...
Who still writes lyrics like that today?
No one I'm sorry to say mate,it's all shallow guff about bangin one another.Thats why we have no protest songs these days.

I went to watch big country and the skids in Dunfermline night out it will be a lot better if adamson was there
How often do you see a guitarist smiling at their tech with thanks? :)
Usually too up themselves to thank a lowly tech.Stuart never forgot his auld arse tho,as we say here in Scotland.Came from a mining village in Fife, poncey behaviour not tolerated lol.
Would have been great to see BC and Rush on a double bill.
Why or how do they not show Tony Butler!!!!!!!😠😠😠
they dont make bands like this no more . now its a rap crap
@5.16....SHAAA
Definitely missing. Watch this song performed on The Tube in 1984 for the quintessential SHA!!
Big Country was the best band ever on the face of this planet. But who told them to hire a piano player?
Why is Bruce Watson dressed as Beetlejuice?
Still annoyed after Michael Keaton got the role, so decided to reuse the suit
Lol
Possibly the Hamburglar
This is the only time I've ever seen a keyboardist playing with Big Country. Can't really hear whatever he was doing in this mix.
That keyboard is god awful. Other than that pristine. Long live BC and RIP Stu
stu-fucking-pendous. not sure why that bloke is on stage with em doing his ironing but other than that...
What does Porrohman mean ?
Abc Defg From the HG Wells novel, "Pollock and the Porrohman" - a witchdoctor.
BC1000stars thanks
Abc Defg not for you to know .
Dung. Longwinded dung

DDR east Berlin, raritet
worst decision ever to add a keyboardist.
Noooooooooooo! Those feckin keyboards! They ruin my favourite BC song! The guitars are what made them BC. OK, and Stuart's amazing voice and lyrics. Still love ye Big Man ❤
I can't hear the sound of the keyboard... At what moment can you hear them?
@@gerardlappee9725 if you know Porrohman, you'll hear them!
@@marleybu7984 I know Porrohman. Just give me an example at what moment you can hear the keyboards.
@@gerardlappee9725 they're played all through
hated those bloody keyboards..... really didnt add anything special to the band at all..
100% correct , keyboards made me cringe.
el rondo rondo knobhead what do you know .
Keyboards were good in the East Berlin performance of Just a Shadow, same can be said for most of the Moscow performance
Me too. I'm glad you hear them, some people don't appear to
