There is hope now for Country Music. Its been a very long time since anyone in Country music talked to my soul. There is hope!
Late response, I know, but I grew up having country because a lot of popular country is terrible. Bo Burnham's country song is exactly what I thought about most country. Then I discovered JRW, and artists like him. Completely changed my viewpoint. I'm still not a big country fan, but damn, if more country was like this I just might be.
This, to me, is the definition of beauty in sadness. Mr Walker, you sir, are an earth angel. Thank you.

So original. Music like this can't and won't be heard on the radio because it is just too damn beautiful and heartbreaking. Joshua is the real deal. It has been decades since I've been moved like this by any music, not since Townes VanZandt, Guy Clark or John Prine. Bless you Joshua.

Only thing I can get out of it is maybe the Lord is what strengthens him (the beast) to not actually follow through with a suicide.
