Pipeline Big Glassy Early Morning Surf

Big winter surf peaking overnight 1/21/24 wreaked havoc on this coastline but several days of light offshore winds groomed Banzai Pipeline into glassy outer reef monsters.

Why no comp running?

1st.... Competitions are on preset dates. Usually a 10 day waiting window. So it could be the best day ever, if there's wasn't a competition scheduled, there would only be free surfing.
2nd While this is a CLEAN day with lite to no winds and a decent size swell..... the swell is coming from an unfavorable direction. It is pushing from the right side of the screen..... a northerly direction.
Pipe likes a north west to west.
3rd You will notice very few tubes, especially for this size.
