It's not often you find a band that includes all five sections of a classical orchestra, but New Zealand alt-folk band
ALASKA have it covered with just five members. Using a range of unconventional instruments (including harp and peruvian clarinet) they write and execute unique arrangements that add honesty to their songs and emotional clarity to their lyrics. With influence ranging from Arcade Fire and Radiohead to Chopin, the creative sound that ALASKA brings is "atmospherically gorgeous and utterly sincere" (Metro Magazine). Excited about the upcoming release of their debut LP FLAWS, they have recorded this live video of their song LYDIAN to share.
