    The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

    Very nice tribute to Daniil Medvedev! It took them almost three weeks though? They should have had something queued up for him to show in case he won! But they didn’t because they did not expect him to win! No interview, didn’t show his name on the wall, not even on the screen when the credits were rolling! Very disappointed about that. I hope the next male grand slam champion they will do right by him.

  • @pauljohnson6019

    Zverev should share this victory, just as much, if not more- if he didn't exhaust Novak in 5 sets, this finals, could have had a completely different outcome, Med had to win in 3, the minute it went to 4 or 5, it was all Novak's!

    • @sporkspoon8619
      @sporkspoon8619 Před 2 lety +14

      That's cool and all, but no. Medvedev was playing wayyyyy too strong. There was no way around him. He just as easily could have won in 4 or 5 sets. Cope.

    • @Kishnabe
      @Kishnabe Před 2 lety +12

      You can only blame Djokovic for losing 6 sets before reaching the final.

    • @harshavardhan7237
      @harshavardhan7237 Před 2 lety +2

      Zverev didn’t play to exhaust nole, he played to win but couldn’t. Medvedev did not blow 2 set lead in finals like zverev and tsitsipas.

    • @KH28m
      @KH28m Před 2 lety +9

      Djokovic being tired is a sorry excuse by Djokovic fans. Medvedev completely broke him down mentally, tactically and physically. If Zverev was playing Djokovic in the final Djokovic would win in 5 sets probably

    • @sporkspoon8619
      @sporkspoon8619 Před 2 lety

      @@KH28m Sorry bud, but that's simple not the case, much as I hate to admit it. Compare that performance from Djokovic to any other performance of his, it was one of his worst. He didn't play well period. I have no doubt that Medvedev could have beat a more in-form Djokovic, but the biggest reason for Daniil's win, is because Djokovic played bad. Hopefully we can get a worthy rematch at the Australian Open next year
