How to Answer the “Tell Me About Yourself" Question

Quick question on the bonus tip. Isn’t it a little aggressive to asking a question about expectations from the role and then highlighting how you fit in when it was just about tell me about yourself . I see it as a little risky as it is going away from the initial request of just sharing about yourself. Thanks

Thanks for that question! The interview is about both parties seeing their fit with one another. You can take away the risk by asking their permission - “I am happy to go through my experience in detail. If you don’t mind, can I ask you a quick question.” And then ask for expectations.
If a hiring manager gets offended by that, just imagine how they will be as your boss.
