A general prayer like this is not enough, dear:
If you have received the sacrifice of Jesus in your place to pay for your sin, then your spirit has become alive by the Spirit of God. You'r spirit has born again. It needs to be fed and it needs to grow and strengthen. Your spirit is your "inner man" that the Scriptures mention.
Yet, our soul (mind, emotions, will) are still the same. They need to be sanctified, transformed by the Word and the Holy Spirit. We need to submit our minds to the government of God, study the Scripture in His Presence and whatever Jesus said, we have to obey. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His Truth to your heart.
The same way, we must daily submit our emotions to His government and ask Him to give us TEMPERANCE so that we do not fall into depression, explosions or emotional frenzy and sin against Him.
We need to understand this basic thing: When we come to Jesus we pass through “The Door” from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light with new and different laws and regulations which we need to learn and obey.
We all bring inherited and acquired evil spirits within, due to sin, and we will need deliverance (Clean House) at various points led by the Holy Spirit. We need to confess every sin and receive His forgiveness, cleansiness by the Blood of Jesus. We need to restore whom we have hurt.
We also need to forgive those who have sinned against us to be set free.
Since the fall, our carnal nature replicates satan. All we bring with us is corruption. When we are born again our dead spirit comes alive, but we still have our soul (mind, emotions, will) and physical body. It is in this realm that the contrary spirits move and affect our souls.
Mathew 16:24 Jesus said that if we want to follow Him, we must "deny ourselves and take up our cross" which means we no longer do what we please, but submit our lives to His government by His Holy Spirit. The fall of man came when he decided to become independent from God and do as he pleased. Therefore, to return to God, we must willingly go back to the original design and plan of God: we are dependent on Him for everything! He purchased us at Calvary and now we belong to HIM!
Our carnality, our flesh cannot see the Kingdom of God and live. How do I empty myself? how do I crucify the carnal self on that cross??
First of all pray, ask Jesus to Help you and invite the Holy Spirit to direct you. Take time to write down a two column list about yourself, who you are: On one side list all the capabilities, positive aspects. On the other side write all the negative aspects you recognize in yourself. Then take each item you wrote down and crucify it, kill it.
Whatever you keep will destroy you! you are giving up what is carnal and corrupt. This is where the evil spirits dwell and thrive, like a fertile corrupted land.
It's important to be thorough and ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you to do it. When you're done ask our Father to fill you up baptize with His Spirit and truly Live and Govern your life as He intended to from the beginning.
From this moment on we need to be trained in hearing His voice and obeying it. Study the Scriptures in His Presence, always asking Him to teach you, to reveal Himself to you as you read and study. (My sheep hear my voice and follow me, Jesus said) Be conscious that your life (soul: mind, emotions, will) needs to be transformed into the image of Christ! by His Holy Spirit abiding in us. From now on our Father will be disciplining each of our lives.
We need to ask Him to provide every thing we need: since we have nothing of value, like faith, hunger for Him and His Presence, spiritual discernment, patience, etc. James 1 speaks about this.
Dedicate time privately to Him, to praise and honor Him! We have now the privilege of being able to come, and welcome to come to the Throne of Grace, to have intimate relationship with our precious Father Yehovah, our precious Savior, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!
Direct and intimate communication wherever we are! This is the hidden treasure that Jesus mentioned in the parables! He is the Treasure! living in us. He knows everything and is almighty, there is nothing He cannot do! He desires that we are one with Him. He is Holy and precious, so we need to let go our sinful nature! We are winners

Very powerful deliverance session yesterday. Exhausted afterward. Coughed for 3 hours straight in my sleep last night!! ? Demons still coming out?? Kept my husband awake. Today is 1 day clean of nicotine too. No more!! Prayer all day against the cravings and for the Power of God to remove this dangerous habit to be removed.

When i was watching one of your sermon Remove your mask when you preached queen ester Unmasked her past something hit me even though people hurt me when i was suffering from depression I have hurt some people in the past and then i felt something inside that was convicting me saying when you want to be forgiven you need to forgive others and also to apologize to what i have done I think i was God convicting from the inside so I prayed about it and decided to write a open letter to everyone i have hurt one way or the other which makes me free from the burden and also frees me from depression . However, I feel uneasy when I keep hearing about the blood and being washed with it. Feels like a ritual similar to satanic ways. I just want to understand why this term is used and what it means. Thank you for your comment. It's the Blood of Jesus that redeemed us from the enemy. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, it is His Most Precious Blood that cleanses you, spirit, soul and body. Without the Blood of Jesus, we won't have eternal life. We are doomed!
