Kimuras can happen anywhere, anytime! I just went to shake my colleagues hand in the lunch room and before I knew it, boom. Side control Kimura for the finish.
I really appreciate these "attacks in less than" videos. As someone new to ju jitsu, this really helps me understand the concepts of locks in ju jitsu rather than just thinking of specific submission scenarios.
Exact reason why I left my old dojo

Thanks again Jason!!
You took it over the top making this video on multiple positions and the various how to hit the kimura. Some of the variations are widely used in catch wrestling. Once again you've hit the nail on the head in producing this video. Outstanding!!!!
this was incredible. Thank you for posting this. I'm a blue belt, and i've really been into integrating the kimura into my entire game. I picked up Mau Mau's kimura as a way of BJJ DVD and it really opened my eyes to how awesome the kimura is. So many points of contact make it effective, with high percentage finishes.
I came across your videos 5 months ago. I love them. The best IMO. I try to watch as much as I can. Very helpful. Thank You!!
a good 5 of these i've never seen or thought of before so looking forward to trying them out
Absolutely love this video. Been watching it everyday and I actually managed to land a few!!
brillant and diverse annotation perfectly describing and detailing the applicance as well as the practicality of the Kimura lock.
I love your "a certain number of this or that in this many minutes" videos. We really appreciate this series. It's an awesome refresher series for our brains and we forget so many things that we don't practice on a daily basis. Thank you.
I love this guy! Thanx for helping me plan my classes.
This is gold. Thank you!!
This guide is so helpful. Great work!
Jason, you the man. I met you in DC at the MMA business seminar in Jan 2010. Since then I have subscribed and watch your stuff. Just wanted to say that I think in your hard work to create a solid business from your BJJ you supply a great service to people all over the world. We're a small group of grapplers with a diverse background who come together to train (highest rank is purple belt under Rigan) and we use your stuff as a major reference. Thank you. I am very grateful.
I am so glad I found your channel; Good stuff.
As someone that loves the Americana/Kimura locks, this video is badass.
the best thing about the kimura is how easy you can get this grip!
you can sweep, submit, control and transition to positions with the kimura, it is so versatile, that you can have a really solid game with that.
in CACC the double wristlock is also the bread and butter-skill to master.
Thank You. I think I will use these to kick butt in Ne Waza...
Brilliant video, really really useful stuff, may it come back to you in spades.
Mark

Damn, Jason you did it again! These are the best short bjj/grappling videos online. I've never viewed the whole "Kimura trap" series, by I'm sure you just covered a lot of the techniques in 5 minutes. Keep up the great work, I don't know how you can top this one?
Just found this. Really great video.
Anothe excellent demonstration of you abilities, you are great
man I love ur videos...I'm new to bjj n ur vids r helping me get good fast...u can pull a kimura from any position
awesome as always.
WOW! Please, more submissions like the last few where you defended those take-down attempts!! Great vid btw
Helped me realise the kimura's range of uses better, thank you, too bad I have no one to roll with at home!
Impressive how you Can use one technique in different way !!
you are real master, first on internent, you are Encyclopedia of BJJ. Thank you wery mutch,
God bless you
This channel is awesome
wow, all your videos about grappling is great. i am sending this message to tell you that. please continue with this. we watch your videos from costa rica. thanks
goes to show you how incredibly skilled you have to be to defend all types of submissions from every position, a true art
This was great, thanks.
I'm a newby and just starting out but from my observations, people who've mastered the Kimura/Americana and can snatch them faster than you can react understand it's not just about the submission. A well placed Kimura/Americana is like an uno reverse card in BJJ and forces your opponent to try something else and really wears on their arms. That's why I decided to build my BJJ game around getting as many as possible.
great as allways thanks a lot
This was mint. Cheers fella
That was awesome 👍
Holy shit! Some of those are amazing! Never even seen them before!!
my brain is exploding with kimura knowledge! awesome vid
I just cried watching this.
Awesome!
I really like the setups from disadvantageous positions (turtle, in butterfly guard, side-mounted), very cool.
Jason, I love your videos. Keep up the great work. ~ Benjamin Sensei, Yudansha MMA, Japan.
So slick!

at 3:15 arm lock to kimura and kimura to arm lock. awesome!!
i love it..kimura
more jujitsu gold, brother!!
love it
Had no idea that the kimura could be used in full guard! Lmao this video was so informative
These are insane videos lol
Nice vid. I LOLed at the "rear naked grip kimura" though. Called a keylock in catch wrestling as the cross-armed grip looks like a keylock (with the opponents limb as the key). Some call the americana, a keylock but that is wrong. Years of poor wrestling/MMA commentators mixing up terms for various moves. Sorry for the transgression at any rate. Still loved the video. BTW do you ever try twisting the wrist/thumbpad on the americana? Stops them from straightening the arm out.
nice
Black belts must hate you Jason. Have you ever had trouble with any? You are showing effective and useful techniques as always, no bullcrap, you are unique on the web, a good teacher and an active competitor. This shouldnt be free, though i shouldnt be talking...
Impressive
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hi sensei, please , can you make a short video on "grip strategy" because i don't know exactly how/when/where to grip my opponent and it's difficult to do a technique when i can't break his grip, so maybe you have some tips on how to break, what to do when he catch my lapel.... thanks!
Could you make a video explaining all the BJJ grips?? (double wrist grip, cable grip, pistol grip..etc), i can't find any and it would be very useful
Jason Scully. You are cash.
Can you make a video like this on a couple of Barataplata entries ?
Jason would you be able to show the rear naked grip kimura is a more detailed clip?
Can I ask you for a favor?
I want to have more options from northsouth.
Other people use it but the all do ezequiel choke and kimura. A great teacher like you could probably give me more choices ¿could you please do a video on northsouth?
Thank you in advance.
The ‘Rear Naked’ Kimora is craaaaazy
It's been a while since I've trained. Could you explain the difference between americana and kimura?
When doing the double wrist lock and top wrist lock why do you not have a full thumb grip and rotate the wrist when locking this up. That is how Karl Gotch taught us and Kimura how to do it. I noticed a lot of BJJ players do that
Gene Williams In Luta Livre it is taught also
Where can I get more info on the rear naked choke style kimura?
