I also fixed my bent bumper by taking it off and laying it on some blocks under my trailer legs and then cranking the legs down with a towel between to protect until it was straightened out. Worked perfectly
Loving the camera angles… and I agree with you about going to neutral just to split the gear when I drove a 13 it definitely felt smoother… great video
That's actually the best way 2 shift, it's the way I was taught 2 shift back in the 80's. The old timer told me it saves wear & tear on the transmission
You guys rates are way better we have in Atlanta! They don't kiss you goodnight or slow down to let you get out! Tuck'n roll🤣 I love those tri-axle slider chassis. I had one back home running the ports in New Orleans, Mobile Alabama & Pensacola. You can make good money with that chassis as long as the rates were decent! And we ran a lot of military 20's to Mississippi & permit loads to Pensacola💰💰💰. Love that chassis that chassis 🥰 Stay safe up there in the Northwest 👍🏿✌🏿
I did the same Air Ride and I did 1 1/2 Springs I took a cutting wheel and cut the bottom off just behind the U-Bolts. Not easy because of the steering arm gets in the way. I also replaced the door handles as well way better.
You will have fun with that bumper in the snow,... But containers are very slow in Montreal, Canada. No work for the past 3 days. And next week doesn`t look better. Christmas season.. I hope January will be better....
Hey so I got a few questions Brotha I live up in Marysville, Wa got a 2018 Freightliner that I own. I’ve been doing HHG for allied but looking to get out of it and am very interested in Drayage. To be home everyday what’s the pro and cons and how’s the pay right now…. Thanks in advance
I went on drayage directory and used to call the carriers on there. A lot of them have direct container accounts with customers/ warehouses and can dispatch owner operators.
Not as simple.. it’s hard to perfect them. And if someone spends 5k on a air ride system they expect high quality zero issues. Air rides have lots of negative side to it. Looser feel Steering, bump steer is issues alot are experiencing. So untill we find a system that works really good. I’ll be changing mine up again to try to make it better.
You shouldn't go by the miles. It take an average of 2 hours to pull it from the terminal and the same time to return it . If you add 1 hour for unload it. 5 hours total. Does the mileage really counts when you spend a half day waiting.
@@thinkwisely7610 all the wait time is paid for $55 an hour.. and no we’ve been averaging 30min to an hour on pulling load, even less if coming from the Rail

I don’t think it’s wise to get on your CZcams channel and tell people how much you make in trucking. Especially in an all time low market in 25 years. Protect yourself and all the others working hard in your industry.
When I started off 7 years ago I called a bunch of these companies on Drayage Directory and see what they have to offer and what their rates are.. drayage.com/directory/results.cfm?state=WA&sortby=2&customize=y
When they Dispatch them to you is it just yard to yard .. meaning from there yard to the customers n back to there yard or do you do the whole thing meaning going into the pier n getting the load n running it n then returning it. I run outta the new jersey piers. And thinking about getting my own authority n scat code n running the containers. The ports are never that slow with work. But the money is in having your own authority and scat code as you run the ports
For containers you don’t need a broker license to work directly with customers/ warehouses. So lots of times you get work from other carriers/ dispatchers.

Nice looking truck man. Cool to see someone out here doin it local. From the Puyallup area myself. 👍

How do you like the air ride on 1 1/2 leafs? Feels pretty stiff with my 2 leafs
500 dollars for a 15 mile load?? That's amazing haha
How many hours is that though? Between having to wait to get the container(s), border-inspections, the driving, etc.

Yes hope it gets better for everyone 🙏 I can bump up the front air ride so the bumper sits pretty high
I’m in Philly and do the containers out here and it been slow for like the past 2months. The diesel over here it’s about $6 a gallon.
Hope it gets better 🙏
@@CustomRigs yes, thanks.
Depending on who you lease on to you get the same pay as you getting when it's slow or busy
Check out Berry Trucking page he has a pretty neat trick to straighten out slight bends on in the bumper.
Truck sounds badass
Thanks for the content. Love the truck.

What app do you use for that little car driving on the map outlining your route that’s neat
you got that part number for that bully dog turbo
I wonder what is going on with the white station wagon parked across the street from where you are CR? (@11:48)
The ports in savanna ga is the worse
In today's economy, is the container work still worth it? I been out the game for 3 years..

I bought a red airline airhose awhule ago, and it really wasnt inflating the tires i think the psi went down a bit actually idk
Red side has same pressure as in your air tanks.. run the truck build the pressure all the way first.
