Took far too much criticism last season. Was one of the few positives pre world cup and niggles and less minutes from Jan didn't help him much. He's explosive. Not wanted someone to succeed and prove people wrong this much for a long time. So excited to see this next season.

I gotta say, at the beginning of the season, I was sure he would have more goals than haaland.. i ate my hat humbly and started to root for both of them equally toward the end of the season, seeing how down to earth haaland really is.. Haaland is a goalscoring machine, one of the purest and most efficient number 9s. I don't think Darwin can ever match that.
But Darwin is a much better team player and has the work rate to match it. He spends more time winning the ball back, passing to his teammates and getting assists. Meanwhile Haaland has a nasty habit of disappearing.

Darwin is such an amazing player and an absolute idol I remember when we played benfica in the ucl and he scored about 7 goals past us but they all got disallowed and then we signed him and I’m so glad we did he makes me so happy to be a liverpool fan
