    The way these darts are made is really clever, love the look of the darts definitely thinking about picking these up

      Yeah its very clever, as long as it stays like that after a lot of use, that remains to be seen yet though :)

    I have been eyeing a set of ONE80 with reflex for awhile now. This new system really makes them more tempting. Grip you always do a great job. Cheers M8.

    These are very similar to what I bought a pair of the one80 24g Heat. I like the idea of the replaceable spring steel tips. With the Heat 24g's I was very happy with the VHD tungsten, grip, and that they are thin for tight groupings. The downside for the one80 sets are the shafts and fights. The one80 flights are larger than the standard size flight, which is good. I added the Harrow system to the barrel, using the carbon short shafts and the max air flights. I liked the set up so much I bought an extra pair and some extra harrows components.

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Yeah I think a lot of people are starting to like these thin points but should be even better now with the replaceable R2 system. I think there is a few standard sizes now a big wing and small and a mini.

    I am liking the addition to the videos. The video index is a nice touch, it could be improved slightly by time stamping the index so you don't need tap the time bar.
    The review format is excellent as ever.
    Now the darts. They look pretty darned nice and I like the idea of you being able to swap in new points.
    I wonder how often the points will need changing and how long the thread will last before it starts to loosen off.
    Finally, how much h will the replacement points be as that will be a factor in buying these?

      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Glad you like it but not sure what you mean about the video index? On my Desktop all the times are in blue and when I click on them it takes me to that point in the video thats why I did it really, unless you mean something else? Regarding the points I dont know how they will last, will be something I will need to report back on, the previous points were about £3 per set so not sure if these new ones will be more.

    • @rabidkyle6181
      @rabidkyle6181 Před 7 lety

      Ah OK. That s what I meant, must just have been my tablet not showing them.
      That's not overly expensive so long run may be worth it.
      I would be interested in a report back video, assuming you were to keep using them.
      Thank you for the reply.
      Kyle

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Yeah could be your tablet as it did not work on my mobile unless I viewed in desktop mode. Yeah I will be throwing with them as much as I can and see how they perform, the nose did come loose once but I think it was because I had shown someone how it worked and may not have tightened up properly but since then it has not come loose again, although I will be amazed if it stays tight after a lot of use, I would have thought the way the points wobble and if you remove it a few times that it surely must wear eventually but will see :)

    hi im thinking of getting some reflex pointed darts but im a bit concerned about the points snapping on the darts.
    this would not be a problem with the r2 range but have you or any of your subscribers known of the points snapping

    Hi Nutzs I got my deta hedman 28 gram darts today. Stock looked old. The points and darts where corroded and smelt of nicotine. Fortunately they cleaned up perfectly with some machine oil. I am posting to warn others if you get them in similar condition I would remove all the points not mixing the caps as I suspect there machined after they are screwed in for the last time. They may not be perfectly interchangeable without altering weight or leaving very small differences in match up where they screw together. I have not tried them yet but I don't think they will need much tightening up to keep them tight as I think they use the compression of the o'ring to stop them unscrewing. I could be wrong on that but I think the compression of the o'ring would be sufficient to damp vibrations enough to stop the ferrule unscrewing in operation. The machine work standards are first class. The points cap or ferrule is so tightly toleranced if you tighten them up and or live in a coastal region you may never get them apart again when time comes to change a point. I struggled to get one of mine open. And the spanner fit A is marginal if you were to have to remove a tight or corroded cap. It could be the end of the dart. Nice machining. Nice Darts!

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 6 lety

      Sounds like they may have been used by someone and then put back in the box, was there any marks on the barrels?

    • @missmygamergirl445
      @missmygamergirl445 Před 6 lety

      Gdaymate yea mate you could be right . It's A possibility as a leaflet was creased but the barrels look undamaged, Even the spare points are rusty. I am not worried about it probably use another seller next though. I have used them long enough to suspect there not going to be right for me. One odd thing is they are getting really stuck in the aussie formula board I use. It must be too shallow. And they feel too heavy. I plan to just keep buying different darts and trying them all. Ironically my favourite darts so far are 20 gram steel chinese barrel style darts. There big and light and I throw them better than the 4 other sets of darts I have. They cost 5$ delivered lol I have some other similar style ordered peter manley 19 pentathlon 23 and phil taylor 26. I think I'm going to like the manleys the best. I'm Trying all my darts in all positions. I moved onto rear grip recently and am doing better with it and centre but I will be trying everything for a while. Iam enjoying buying different darts each fortnight. I might hate the deta's now that might change down the track though I will not buy such expensive darts again for a while. Not after the chinese darts and the deta's costing so much And not looking like they will get used much. I will stick to under 50$ I will do a video when I find my camera. I am enjoying my darts for a change from hifi.

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 6 lety

      Thats funny you say your faves are the cheap ones lol I remember I had a similar set when I was starting and I think it was just because they were thicker and easier to control but as I got a little better I preferred the thinner tungsten ones. I went through a lot of shapes and weights at first, I settled on 27g for a while then eventually went to 24g then 23g. I also had some 19g Manleys and the strange thing with them was I was hopeless on Trebles with them but best ever at the time on doubles lol! It makes no sense sometimes but its all part of the fun in trying stuff :)

    virtually no spin of these at all, seem to fly very true and straight. Are the reflex points not annoying when you're seeing that wobble on every dart? how durable are they?

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      Yeah been playing with them longer now and they are a nice smooth dart to throw, think its the shape and balance. From the oche the wobble is a little strange at first but you dont notice it as much as when you see it up close and you quickly get used to it. :)

      I guess I will keep playing with the ones I've got but not buy anymore for a while. My complaints are based on aesthetics not being any good enough to prove the groupings theory. I am trying to find any review on the latest original mvg batch but with no luck. I will have to be brave ask on the forum if I can't find one soon in there. Thx Darren.

    i bought a set of tungsten 21g darts from Darts Clearance on eBay, and i think they're too skinny for my large hands. yesterday i receive a cheap set of 24g brass from aliexpress, and i have more control over them. i thing fatter and heavier is what i need.

      Thanks! There is other models with the points like this but most people are not keen on them at first but I have seen a lot of higher skilled players (thats a lot higher than me, high 80 averages) remarking that they are scoring better because of the thin points but its one of those things like a lot of darts products people will like or dislike for various reasons :)

      Well I try to get as close as possible to middle and rear but often its a little awkward when I throw them but I go by where my thumb is and its usually as close as I can comfortably get but obviously not an exact science, for example a rear grippers grip could be anywhere on the last third of the dart from just past middle to the very end of the barrel and I have quite fat thumbs too lol :) Cheers! :)

      Hi Becky, you should check out the beginners section on the forum for some tips here: dartsnutz.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=29 Darts can be tough and it takes a lot of practice for some but you need to try to throw the dart the same every throw, easier said than done but dont grip the darts too tight and try to keep your throwing arm smooth and relaxed and only the arm should move, keep your stance still, its a little difficult to explain everything here but if you read the forum you will get some good info, good luck! :)

      Thank you for your respond I will follow your link I hope I can keep my body still and just throw smoothly and by way the question dose weight matters how importune it is; it weight on darts One80 Reptile R2 24g do they also have them a little more havyer then 24 Grams or is it a stander weight I love the looks of it Design of Reptile R2 And the shack point that is my ideal type of darts I would want

    • @DartsReviewChannel
      @DartsReviewChannel  Před 7 lety

      No problem. Weight of the dart is something that you go through a trial and error period until you find what suits you, most beginners start with heavier darts because the heavier dart is more forgiving of errors supposedly where as a lighter dart may need more control, I started with 27g when I started out and gradually went down to my usual weight now which is around 23g for most darts, sometimes the shape of the dart may make it feel heavier or lighter depending how long it is.
