    Having the summer semester off may seem like a bother but it is truly a blessing in disguise!! Take it from my experience. When I was in nursing school, my 2nd semester was in the summer and learning med-surg at an even faster pace was BEYOND stressful!! Take the summer to recharge yourself and finish strong! ❤️

    It’s so sad these instructors treat nursing students like this. I can’t say I’ve had that experience , and I’m a junior this coming fall. My professors are so loving and amazing even when they have to be sturdy. But don’t let them get in your head. Power through and use outside resources if needs be. ❤️❤️

    The lectures are supposed to be refresher because you're supposed to read the chapter before hand.

    This was very helpful, thank you for sharing! You seem like the type of nurse that is caring and isn’t just in it for the money! I’ve had the mean girl nurse and the type you are, and I just wish more were like you!

    Hey girl! I really hope you see this comment lol it might be long but here goes : so I have about 8 years of healthcare experience working mainly as a medical assistant. I just started a new job working for a dialysis clinic as a PCT. I have NEVER wanted to go into nursing until this year and I am 29 years old LOL! I graduated in 2017 with my BS in Kinesiology and I am wondering if those pre requisite courses needed for nursing school are eligible or if I will need to retake those courses? I heard in another one of your videos you were a social worker before going to nursing school. I always had a fear of going into nursing due to all of the feedback I’ve heard from nurses over the years but from whatever reason I feel God may be pushing me into this direction. What tips or advice can you give me in regards to this ? I would love to hear what you think and I really appreciate your videos ❤

      Regarding your prerequisites check the website of each nursing school program you are interested in attending. Each program will post the required prerequisites and its timeframe for acceptance. Just a note, apply before the prerequisites expire, otherwise it may be expensive to retake any expired prereqs. again. Also, contact the school directly and speak with an UG admissions officer specifically for that RN program, but generally this information is posted.

    How hard is the actual 1st semester? I hear it’s the hardest. If you get through it you’ll get through nursing school

      The first semester was challenging for me because you have to learn how to think like a nurse in order to answer questions correctly on tests. But it’s not the hardest in my opinion.
      I’m currently in the second semester and I think this is the most difficult semester I’ve ever experienced in school EVER! Lol but it’s because you have to balance each week’s coursework, along with 12hr clinical rotations, clinical documentation, and trying to study for exams each week. It feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything.

    Is the nursing material hard it self? Or just time management and people are the hardest part?

    • @nenepassion
      @nenepassion  Před rokem +1

      I think the material is hard for people who have never worked in healthcare in any way. Other than that, the material is not hard to understand. It is just ALOT. So managing your time in a way that allows you to study it all is the hardest part for me.

    Just one question…. How much was you savings 😂😂😂

    • @nenepassion
      @nenepassion  Před 10 měsíci

      I will say that I worked for 3 years in decent paying social services jobs. And I saved 50% of my paychecks because my expenses were very low at the time. lol
