En helt fantastisk forestilling! Energien, lidenskapen og ferdighetene disse danserne viser er virkelig fengslende. Det er tydelig at de har lagt ned utallige timer med hardt arbeid for å mestre håndverket sitt. Når jeg ser dette, får jeg lyst til å kaste meg ut på dansegulvet og gi alt. Bravo til alle danserne for å ha levert en så uforglemmelig forestilling på New York Dance Festival 2024!

I’ve watched 3 or 4 of these dance competitions out of NY and every one of the 1st place winners are either from NY or NJ. They don’t even try to hide that the judges are biased.

It's always so intriguing to me how Mykhailo Bilopukhov & Anastasia Schypilina always look so good and their dancing reads so well on the floor at american competitions but they seem to always not shine as well when dancing outside of the USA. In comparison to a newer professional couple such as Tal Livshitz & Ilana Keselman who seem to do almost the opposite. Case in point, the UK Open where Mykhailo & Anastasia finished 31st (3rd round) whilst Tal & Ilana finished 11th (semi-final). It's such a peculiar situation for me. 🤔
Not a new phenomenon. I used to dance with a pro that did better in England than in the states. Different judges, different tastes, different politics ;)

Sorry - poor choices on music, particularly cha cha and rumba. So many awesome latin songs and pick disco for cha? Great energy from the Cali couples. Of course, their bodies on pacific time. 🤗 Great dancing by all finalists.
This DJ ever rarely has good music and tries out of the box options that he adds extra percussion to. I'm not his biggest fan and dread competing at competitions he DJs at. He never edits music down to include the most dynamic parts. The samba took forever to really take off.

Poor music choices and seems the cameraman has his own favorite couples. I kept all the time trying to watch others through the corners because the camera was always focusing on the same 2 or 3. At the ends I found out why.

I am a watcher of dance competitions and I do have a question for everyone. Are the couples given the selections prior to the event so they can develope the steps and rehearse???

International Latin dancers are all Russian. They don't know or care about Latin or Spanish music. It's all about ballet technique and stamina for them. The movement rarely matches the music because the routines are choreographed without any music, so it looks very forced and unnatural.
How do I attend one of these competitions?

I’m sorry but if you watch last years competition the dancers placed pretty much in the same order. ,Oh wait last year the winners were from NY and this years winners are from NJ!

Hmmmm….not the placement I saw but that’s the politics of competitive dance which is why many quit or retire. You’re not supposed to believe your lying eyes 👀. Such a short time together taking 1st place everywhere 🙄

Wow, the music is terrible, it sounds like a low-budget quinceniera, with no dynamics no excitement, especially for cha-cha and samba.

@@CurlyBoyChuck Latin music is all about dynamics and strong precussion with playful lead instruments. The music in this video was just the same beat structure repeated, slow, and with no movement. It was flatter than the flat earth society.

The couple that won were the worse dancers out of all of them except on the last dance and I agree, poor choices for music. They all look more like amateurs. Dancing with the stars is better than this! Smhhhh

Je suis danseuse chorégraphe d une toute petite compagnie j ai enseigné la danse pendant plus de 20 ans je danse depuis l âge de 3ans et je suis vraiment hyper déçue de voir où mène la compétition la danse est vulgaire, manièree, Sophistiquée pleine d égo. d arogance et de violence du coup la super technique perd tout son intérêt...la danse célèbre la vie qu'elle vie ont ces gens là? C est moche
