I honestly loved the film for what it was. Keaton and Afflecks Batman we’re both highlights for me and I’m looking forward to what we’ll see with the Brave and the Bold. Andy Muschietti nailed the Batman scenes
I thought Andy Muschietti's treatment of both Batman (Batmen) were one of the best parts of the movie. So I'm excited to see what he does when he's just focused on Batman.

Michael Keaton was dope as Batman, wish we would have gotten some Batmobile action. Plus the Superman cameo’s were a good touch as well, I wasn’t expecting to see Nicolas Cage or Clooney.

To me it seems how they plan to write Ezra out of future movies. He’s now stuck in an alternate timeline where Clooney is Batman. We know Clooney isn’t back as the main timeline Batman.
I was half expecting the post-credit scene to be something like Barry returns to his apartment, takes off his mask, and looks in a mirror only to discover he's been recast, i.e., he now looks like a different person. I figure either they haven't decided to recast yet or more likely haven't chosen a replacement. But imagine for a moment if he took off his mask and it turned out he now had Grant Gustin's face. Now that would have been an awesome cameo and payoff of the scene from Crisis on Infinite Earths.

One of my favourite things about this movie was the action scenes of Batman. Finally the first time they have Batman using his gadgets and flying around like he does in the comics/ cartoons!

It's ok to be bummed out. However remember, like he said..
Flash was supposed to come out in 2018. Which was the year he appeared on CW Flash. CW is over. Sniderverse is over. The goal was to look foward, and with that in mind, I'm glad they cut Grant Guston.
If you think about it, this movie is a 2 hour highlight of 9 seasons worth of story seasoned with nostalgia. So featuring the CW Flash would of highlighted how the CGI was on par with this movie, the stories were better than this movie, and got to do what it wanted instead of what it had to do.
Either way the separation was for the best.
However choosing Teddy Sears over John Wesley Ship is fucking bizarre. There is no excuse.

I wanted the movie to focus on Keaton's Batman as soon as Barry entered that timeline. He is the GOAT and the director did him justice. He finally had full-fledged fight scenes.
The one thing that I really like about this movie is what I hope other comic book movies will adapt. A bit similar to Infinity War the stakes are high, the heroes lose. You have to keep the audience on edge & give the villains their respect

I dont know if it was intentional or Andy M pulled a fast one on WB without them realising it... but when Barry explains to Batfleck he can travel back in time, Batfleck asks - like in Pozharnov? and Barry says yes, but that was only going back one second.. this happened in ZSJL and not in the Joss Wheadon version...

Dark flash needed more sceen time in this movie, he had a compelling backstory ,and motivation to kill the flash was there long enough to showcase his abilities.

I just saw it this afternoon. I liked it. All of the performances were good. It was great to see Diana Prince early on in the film. The cameos were nice and somewhat surprising. I have to admit: Ezra Miller was excellent in the film, and he is the absolute centerpiece of the entire film, as good and excellent as Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, and Ben Affleck are in it. I hope it does well at The Box Office.

I really liked the flash a lot. Some questionable CGI but doesn’t take you out of the movie. Solid 8/10…I will say that watching Ben Affleck’s Batman in this movie really makes me want a Ben Affleck Batman movie. His Batman was awesome in this film.

The 89 Batsuit also has a different bat logo than the rest also. Not just year 1.
As someone who loved Zack Snyder’s vision, the ending killed me…. 😪
The best easter egg that wasn't mentioned was when Younger Barry tried to look at Future Barry while they were suited up for the "final" battle. YB is wearing a modded Batman Returns suit and there is no articulation for the neck. This is a deep cut to real life complaints about the suit, but also to the Christopher Nolan Batman series where Lucious Fox helps Bruce design a suit because, "You want to be able to turn your head".

The movie was way better than I thought it would be I went in super skeptical, and stunned by how much I loved it i had fun as someone who seen the animated counterpart ( Flashpoint paradox ( this was surprisely good adaptation seeing all those cameo was so nice ,and nostalgic I would give it a solid 7.5/ 10 mostly because of the choppy pacing in the first half ,and CGi otherwise i think it was a good way to wrap up ,and put the final nail in the snyderverse, but in a respectful way too.
Seeing Christopher reeves was fine to me this was honoring all of those actor including the original superman actor George reeves I wish we could've seen val's batman.
I loved this and I do think it was one of the best DCEU movies. Even though I'm not a fan of Ezra, if they were going for this particular personality of the Flash, it suits him.
It was one of the few DC movies which were directed well and seemed homogenous. There was no dull moment, the stakes were good, and even the last act was good. The ending, although obvious to Flash fans, was satisfying. Cameos were extremely good

Honestly the changing of how timelines work is my fav part. The split time lines have been used so many times like in the mcu. It's gotten boring. It's exciting to shown a different concept.
I thought this was gonna be horrid and that’s why they kept delaying it but I was surprised I liked it so glad how they handled the supergirl situation against Zod and his army (which was way bigger than the one he brought in man of steel!) kinda wish they expanded on the final boss more than the 8 min he got

The post credit scene Barry said Batman is always a different person on the different earths and then he said that author curry is always him ..saying Jason is always going to be aquaman …right before he falls out Barry was saying on one of the other earths there’s a different me “and aquaman falls out before he completes his thought ……don’t know if that’s recasting or if that can set up Wally west being the new flash

I *LOVED* the film. I didn't blink at all during last night's viewing. 9/10 (it would've been perfect had they gone with the original cut instead of the recut version currently being shown).

One thing I picked up on when Barry went through the Raquel Welch poster to get the beers from his apartment was a bit of a possible Shawshank Redemption nod, as it was how Andy moved in/out of his jail cell.

got to see the movie this afternoon. You're right, you could watch it a bunch more times sna keep seeing new things. I mentioned before that I laughed out loud when Nick Cage and his low cut super suit appeared and even louder when George Clooney appeared. I was great to see Michael Keaton again as Bruce/Batman, he's always been one of my favorites. Too bad we couldn't have had more of Affleck and Gal since I've enjoyed their iterations. Thank you for the explanation on the goofy way Ezra's Flash runs because I wondered about that.

The tooth falling out is symbolising the fact he messed up the timeline again.
I really didn't like the fact that even after he realised he needed to undo saving his mum, he goes and saves his dad instead.
It was probably because he felt that it is only changing the future from his present time (his father was still locked up for all those years prior). They made a point in the movie a couple of times that the recorded video was enhanced by new Wayne technology somehow. Even without Flash going back in time, that new video technology (whatever that is) did not affect the original video or the original case. He is changing the future, not the past.

Recasting Ron Livingston (Office Space) as Barry's father was inspired casting, he seems perfect as the father.
The Raquel Welch poster is a reference to The Shawshank Redemption. In that movie, Andy had a tunnel behind that poster. Here, Barry was able to walk through the wall at that poster.

The One Million Years BC movie poster appears to be referencing the example seen in Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Shawshank Redemption. It hid the hole in the prison cell wall used to escape. This relates to Flash’s ability to pass through walls.

14:40 it’s also the same poster from Shawshank Redemption that Andy has in his cell that the warden puts his hand through finding Andy’s escape hole. I think the tooth falling out in the end is to show he didn’t fix the timeline and it’s still broken. In Back to the Future they only filmed scenes with Eric Stoltz cause Micheal J Fox wasn’t yet available due to his filming the Family Ties show. The producers told Zemeckis and Gale to start filming with Eric and if they can work out a deal with Fox then they wouldn’t be behind schedule and if he did become available they would pay for reshoots. The opening scene with the skateboard & walking through Doc Brown’s lab was just some person on set. It’s not actually Fox until you see him in the rubble. Superman didn’t give himself the name Clark Kent. He was adopted by Martha & Jonathan Kent who named him Clark which in some stories is Martha’s middle name. I had all those action figures from back in the day. I wish I still had them. 32:43 so she’s not just “weak” she’s “SUPER weak” (sorry couldn’t pass on that joke). 33:54 it’s not the Batwing they’re using they show it’s a Batkite when they first show around 1:33:00. Also Batman gives older Barry the suit to protect him from the lightning but older Barry says that would defeat the purpose of what he’s trying to do. Young Barry realizes that older Barry gets his powers back he will need his suit so young Barry needs a suit of his own so tries to impress older Barry by creating his own. 37:30 it’s not Teddy Sears playing the Flash. It’s actually film editor Jason Ballantine’s face put on the Flash. Sears said he wasn’t part of the film. I think his tooth falling out in the end was supposed to show that he didn’t fix the problem. I’m hoping James Gunn doesn’t kill DC. Not too happy with some of his changes so far.
Say what you want about erza miller but he killed it in this movie, funny yet serious and he had depth to his characters this time. Loved the scene when he lost his powers and did that silly run around haha, all in all I get why they claimed it as the best superhero movie ever !

Omg!totally different topic. I didn’t know who else to tell. Was just watching the Batman. I’ve of course watched it many many times. But I recently heard a rumor that one of, if not the main villain of the Batman 2 could be clayface. Keeping that in mind @ 21:44 left in the movie… I believe that will be our new Clayface. It’s a new world, everything is being reimagined with a twist. Had nowhere else to voice this. Thank you so much Emergency Awesome and Charlie specifically. Your the man. 🎉to ya!!

I was born in 1957...The Flash became one of the favorites amongst us kids during the 60's & early 70's, however it's fascination was (obviously), his amazing "SPEED!"...and Personally, it does no good to see Flash demonstrating his ability in "Slow Motion"..., that scene with the babies, was very dissatisfying actually....because it's like, they're placing Flashes ability of speed on the viewers to create or imagine, but if that's the case, what good is the movie?
When you see The Hulk, you see demonstrations of phenomenal super-human strength, power, might and indestructibleness, when you see Superman, you see unimaginable super-human power, Lazer eyes, flying and speed, when you see Thor, you see flying, and his command of lightening and tornadoes, and the power of Mjolnor, also superhuman strength, and with Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Green Latern, The Silver Surfur, The Submariner, and many others, they're primary ability is literally demonstrated, which is what you expect, however with the Flash..."OF ALL THINGS"...It's SLOW motion,...The irony of the contrast is comical...(no pundit intended)...Just saying

43:00 The Aquaman being thrown in the water puddle is probably a reference from when the original Namor was tossed in the water to regain his memory by, Johnny Storm I believe. Slightly different comic Genre but I believe that is the reference, He will probably regain his powers/memory after being in it long enough like Namor. They might have done something similar in DC, though I did not read enough Aquaman comics to know said references. I recognized that plot when I watched the movie.

Keaton CARRIED this movie. They didn’t need the heavy handed call back jokes. The music and Keaton were enough.
The main plot hole is why did evil flash not trap good flash in the chrono bowl first time good flash activated the chrono bowl, and then Evil flash could easily kill good flash without younger barry being there and getting in the way? Coz younger barry is evil flash kryptonite, the ONLY weakness? So to speak..Sure, you can say that young barry is evil flash and therefore he needed to hit good flash into his timeline in order to activate that cycle and then reinforcing itself leading to Evil Barrys inevitable existence. But it doesnt answer why if evil flash was in the chrono bowl for centuries independent of good flash then if his goal was to kill good flash he would obviously conclude that its easier to kill good flash before he informs younger barry how to time travel in the chrono bowl. Somehow Evil flash needed younger barry to be there, when good flash would get killed. If he was there for centuries he would of known the only way for him to die unintentionally is if his younger self was there.Evil Flash actively created his own dimise and his one weakness... Only way to make sence of it is if ALL three barrys needed to survive up until the EXACT point where one barry HAD to die. That could be why evil flash told good flash your "my hero". Because he must of realised that after so long the only way to change the past where his family is alive.which could be his only timeline that mattered to evil flash. But then why would evil flash include younger barry??? So like think of it... I actually think that evil flash realised he could not change the past or future in his desired timeline by time traveling in the chrono bowl. He realised someone else needs to be doing the time traveling in and out of the chrono bowl while evil flash just waits intentionally. It seems he needed another flash to do his "dirty work" So to say by time traveling over and over and over and destroying their own timeline but not evil flashes timeline which he might of viewed as "sacred". He realised he couldnt go back in time so many times coz that wont work, it will just unravel time more and more. But if another flash is the sacrificial lamb so to speak, going in and out of the chrono bowl unwittingly destroying their own time line, then that sacraficial flash could change things to a point then no further. Then evil flash could hit then another barry out of the chrono bowl when that one discovers how to time travel then he needs another flash. And another flash. And so his cycle would continue. That way evil flash never would have to time travel so to speak and affect "his" Personal sacred timeline in his own mind. If you think bout it. The key line is when Evil barry says "you always go back and kill mom".. I think that line says that Evil barry already encountered many other flashes before our " Official" Good barry...Evil Barry would conclude that if he time traveled more his timeline might forver be gone. But by recruiting more and more flashes to be sacrificial lambs they destroy there own timelines. But Evil barrys timeline remains intact... So it seems there should be another barry who is even older then any barry we have seen. That one might have realised a deeper more concrete way of affecting the past and future without using the chrono bowl. Coz it seems the more you use the chrono bowl itself the more time unravels. But if you get other barrys to do the time traveling instead then you could create your own "sacred" Timeline without time traveling or using the chrono bowl. Ultimately i think that was Evil Flash main reason, purpose and goal but he couldnt accomplish it in a elegent way that wouldnt totally unravel time

Barry wouldn't have known to look for him unless he and the league had worked together however if he was around, it's surprising he wouldn't have gotten involved. He may not have existed on that Earth as well.
Second time watching today and my opinion rose from liking it to actually slightly loving it! It's actually a really fun and crazy movie that has some effective emotional beats at the end. Miller redeems himself from an annoying character in JL.
I loved the movie and cant wait to watch it again. I thought it was fun and i loved all the easter eggs, one liners, jokes and cameos.

One minor issue I have with the movie's concept of Flash, is that anyone can (seemingly) gain these powers.
Since Batman helps him recreate the incident, all I kept thinking was what is preventing him from recreating it for himself
In the canon, the speed force chooses Barry, so the conditions may be met, but it’s not gonna work etc

Ezra may have some issues, which I know is oversimplified, but he plays a great Flash. I love Grant too. But I hope they keep Ezra for the future of the DCU. Great movie overall.

Glad I didn’t let the tweets about the CGI in the movie deter me. Felt like a nice sendoff for the snyderverse. 3rd best DCU film.
They managed to keep the big plot points of flashpoint paradox while adding enough original stuff to keep it interesting.
Loved Super-Girl and I hope the rumours about a solo film for her are true. Sasha Calle was really good for it being her first film.
So cool to see Michael Keaton’s Batman again and it really felt like a good conclusion for his character arc after 30 years.
Has its corny moments, as you’d expect from a Flash movie, but also some genuinely hilarious moments that had my theater dying of laughter.
Action scenes weren’t as good as a Snyder film, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the flash slow mo sequences which were pretty important set pieces. But the story and Barry’s character development were good enough for me to overlook it. Some genuinely emotionally scenes.
Good. But not good enough to make us forget about Ezra Millers actions.
Anyone else think that George Clooney being Batman could indicate a Batman Beyond in a different universe ?😊
It's possible. Clooney probably wants to redeem his mistakes as portraying Batman too.
