I just found your channel. I'll be spending a good deal of time here this weekend, catching up on some amazing Muay Thai. I discovered MT for real through a Saenchai video that led me to Thai Fight. Buakaw, Valentina Schevchenko and so many spectacular MT athletes tough competitors. This is my favorite sport - I watch 3 different Thailand promoters that stream 5 or 6 muay thai fights per card. They each stream 6 days a week. One is in Pattaya - You have the gyms of Sudsakorn Saenchai, Tiger MT. These mostly younger fighters from these top gyms compete 3 x 3 minute rounds. Full rules, 3 knockdown 8 counts ends fight. The fighters are much safer with 3 round format. They get to fight more and make more money. I love the true respect, discipline, and ultimate toughness and heart, that the best fighters, and the least all have in common. Cheers

I guess for those who don’t really understand the scoring, especially with old school Thai scoring
1. Kicks hitting arms still count and still score very highly as all kicks score very high
2. Backing up in a lot of Thai fights doesn’t actually affect the scoring for one fighter, I know alot of western fights favour aggression or ring control but this is less prevalent in Thai rings
3. Catching and sweeping is good and well but it actually also scores for the kicker because to catch a kick you technically have to let the kick hit your mid section. Some judges will score that as a scoring shot
Yeah sometimes even when you block, the force of impact of the kick drives your elbow into your liver and you feel it

wow great match... was hard to pick but i was hoping a draw decision
I was there ringside for this fight and everybody around me thought that Muangthai won. I can tell you that Muangthais corner were pissed off at the decision including Saenchai and the owner of PKSaenchai gym. I was standing outside the arena before the fights started that night and Superlek was out there with his wife laughing and having a good time like he knew the decision before the fight happened.
Gambling probably had a factor in the decision

Close as hell. I always favor the Femur, in this case, Superlek, but I felt that Muangthai blocked most kicks and landed a fair share of his owns.

Hi Ariel. PK Seanchai Gym is a different gym to Yokkao (Senchai) gym.
