- In what is probably going to be one of the final sessions of the 23/24 cod season, we face very tough conditions in search of some late season fish.
David is hoping that he can christen his new Century Kompressor SS with Gary using his trusty Century Tip Tornado Graphex Sport.
Wind, small tides and daylight makes conditions particularly challenging but we soldier on and persevere in the hope of some action. Stay tuned to find out how we get on!

Gary at it again! Ah well, you’ll soon be hitting the road getting into those smoothies! I was tempted by a century rod but stuck with the Penn mag4 range as the 3 piece keeps the wife happy in the car on trips to Scotland 😂

Another cracking video guys conditions and tide not in your favour Gary managing to get to small codling you should start using salted wings Dave. Good to see the komp ss come out to play I'm not in a financial situation where I could even get a cracking rod like the zippy or a komp, I've got a Ron Thompson axcellerator paired up with a diawa slosh 30 loaded with 50Ib mono and 70Ib leader hoping to try a few rock marks on the holderness coast and target the cod. Keep the videos coming guys and hope to see Dave get back amongst the cod good luck and tight lines guys 👍🎣🎣🎣

@@fullcircleangling cheers Dave I hope to get a few cod out of some rock marks I mainly fish the beaches but going to have a go on the rocks for the cod and target the rays and hounds in summer. Really nice video. I understand what you are saying about fishing in very strong winds, there`s not much pleasure in it if the fish are not around and the weather eventually wears you down after you have stood for several hours. But as Gary says, there are compensations in the fridge back at home!

Great minds think alike 😁 I picked up a mint condition Kompressor SS with reducer last week for £300 ( you probably saw it on marketplace it was from seahouses). Hopefully get out a couple of times on the big tides before it collects dust til next cod season starts.

Av fished that mark a few times best fished on a straight westerly but a could be wrong...... and for the komp ss what a lovely all round round a loved mine untill is snapped at the but section never new or heard any like that anyways classy vid as always well done just being out there 👌🏻🎣

Tough session that lads .. wind looked brutal too so good on yous for sticking it ..I had my own rough one last Sunday behind the kings arms .. fished the flood , nice big tide and plenty colour in the water .. fished 7 hours and not a bite .. think I’ll try one more cod session then hit the beaches for flounders n bass .. tight lines chaps .. thanks for the vid 👍🏻

When does your cod run end up north
