After a less-than-ideal experience working with Ryan Reynolds, TJ Miller has publicly stated he would never collaborate with the star again. This revelation has taken many by surprise, as Reynolds has been a major player in Hollywood for years, widely celebrated for his charisma and the box office success of his films. The tension between the two actors is particularly notable given their previous collaborations in the immensely popular Deadpool films.

Ryan Reynolds, with his legions of fans and consistently successful filmography, is a coveted collaborator in the entertainment industry. His roles often garner both critical acclaim and commercial success, making him a hot commodity in Hollywood. However, TJ Miller’s recent comments suggest that not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for working with him. Despite the widespread appeal of Reynolds, Miller has drawn a firm line, stating he has no intention of working with Reynolds again.
Miller’s stance is surprising to many, considering the significant roles both actors played in the first two Deadpool movies. Their on-screen chemistry contributed to the films' success, leading to anticipation for future collaborations. However, Miller's firm declaration indicates that fans likely won't see him in the upcoming Deadpool 3. His decision sheds light on the complexities of professional relationships in Hollywood, where on-screen success doesn’t always translate to off-screen harmony.
In a candid discussion on the Adam Carolla Show, Miller opened up about his strained relationship with Reynolds. He shared that he feels Reynolds dislikes him and expressed that the success of the Deadpool franchise seemed to have ‘changed’ Reynolds. This personal insight into their dynamic provides a rare glimpse behind the scenes, suggesting that the pressures of success and the complexities of fame might have impacted their working relationship.
When directly asked if he would consider working with Reynolds again, Miller responded unequivocally, "I mean, would I work with him again? No, I would not work with him again." This blunt refusal underscores the depth of their discord. Despite their past success together, Miller’s decision indicates that professional boundaries and personal discomfort have taken precedence over potential future collaborations.
Interestingly, despite the apparent animosity, Miller did express a degree of respect for Reynolds’ talents. He acknowledged Reynolds’ exceptional performance as Deadpool and admitted, “I sort of wish him well, because he’s so good at Deadpool. And I think it’s weird that he hates me.” This mixed sentiment highlights the complicated nature of their relationship, where professional admiration exists alongside personal grievances.
Further elaborating on their conflict, Miller recounted a specific incident on the Deadpool set that solidified his feelings. He recalled a moment when Reynolds, in character, directed harsh remarks towards him, blurring the lines between character interaction and personal attack. Miller described the experience as “really weird” and “horrifically mean,” indicating that the on-set behavior contributed significantly to his decision to distance himself from Reynolds.
Despite this negative experience, Miller still offered some praise for Reynolds, recognizing him as a ‘great improviser’ and admitting that Reynolds is a better comedian than himself. This acknowledgement, juxtaposed with his refusal to work with Reynolds again, paints a complex picture of respect marred by personal conflict. It underscores the multifaceted nature of relationships in the entertainment industry, where talent and success do not always align with personal compatibility.

Whats not mentioned is the fact that miller was constantly fucking late to shoot, stoned on set, improvising lines like he was robin williams, for hours unprompted, unable to stick to what he liked. All while being asked to stop, while abusing onset help and techs for free food and drinks. Ryan who had used a lot of his own money to produce the film was disappointed in millers unprofessional acts, speech, and treatment of his fellow cast and tech members. He was complained to multiple times, and ryan eventually confronted him. Miller doesnt seem to speak about much of this part and views it as a personal attack, and its not even the fucking first time he has been mentioned as an asshole on set. Meanwhile ryan treats and talks to people like he is keanu reeves on set. Though he does have a bit of an ego, it’s nothing thats got literally anyone to talk shit about him over.

I wouldn’t consider myself a ryan reynolds avid fan. But i do consider myself in the know for most of this type of “how are they behind the scenes” type shit as someone who works in most of these industries.
